Ultimately, She’s Leaving is a fantastic first project for Blue Hat Studios, and they clearly have vision and pride in their work as we can see with the voice acting and writing. But I can’t help but feel they need a more ambitious project to really shine. As it stands, She’s Leaving is a pretty standard survival horror game which tries something new, but relies too much on a gimmick to stand apart.
This is just me speaking, but I just kind of doubt that I, personally, will remember this game in the next couple of years, positively or negatively. I do not think that She’s Leaving, as Blue Hat’s debut title, is a particularly special or memorable title overall. Is that the game’s fault? Absolutely not, it, like the Welshman that chases Officer Dalton throughout the House, just didn’t really grab me, is all.
Putting you in the shoes of a forensic analyst, She's Leaving challenges you with searching a large and foreboding house for valuable evidence in a missing persons case. It's a short but engaging affair, with the only real annoyance being a stalker-type enemy that you're ill-equipped to hide from.
If more work were put into making She's Leaving's gameplay fleshed out, it would be an excellent and unique horror game for sure. 🩸

However, said unique mechanics sort of lose their magic when you run into their limitations, something that can also be said about the game’s horror. While it feels like it could have been better with just a little more effort, She’s Leaving is still worth checking out for its story and setting alike.
She's Leaving is a survival horror game that focuses entirely on an original and realistic concept. The forensic mechanics and well-told story set the title apart from the crowd, especially for those who are passionate about true crime and investigations. However, repetitive and unpolished gameplay limits its potential, preventing it from reaching higher levels. Nevertheless, the production shows that Blue Hat Studio has valid ideas: with greater care in execution, the studio's future could hold even more interesting surprises.

She’s Leaving is a small but effective experiment by Blue Hat Studio: short, direct, and aware of its limits, it still stands out thanks to its captivating setting, unusual protagonist, and gameplay that blends investigation and survival with clarity. It doesn’t reinvent the genre, but proves that even with few resources one can craft an intense, memorable survival horror experience.
