Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent is a good dungeon crawler that offers interesting hero archetypes and a variety of challenges to deal with. It becomes a great experience if players manage to recruit three friends, so that everyone can control one hero.

The tactical RPG based on the board game focuses mainly on exploration and turn-based combat, and it certainly doesn't disappoint in this regard. You'll also enjoy the variety of heroes and their abilities. However, don't expect a deep story or very rich loot.

Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent is the video game adaptation Descent fans have waited two decades for — the turn-based combat system is accessible and tactically satisfying, the Synergy mechanic a genuine win for co-op rounds, even if the lack of narrative depth and launch multiplayer bugs hold it back from its full potential.

Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent successfully captures the tabletop experience with its highly engaging, grid-based tactical combat. While it sacrifices narrative depth and complex RPG progression for accessibility, it remains a solid and fun dungeon crawler, especially when playing with friends.
