Highly recommended for fans of classic Point and Click Adventures.

A clever premise and nice presentation along with sound point-and-click adventure design give Heaven's Hope good reason to belong in any adventure gamer's digital library.

There's little to recommend. The presentation is wonderful, but it is let down by everything else.

[Heaven's Hope] is a great looking game, with graphics that sit somewhere between water colour, caricature and stop-motiony 2.5D

With that said, though, Heaven's Hope is a sufficient little game, with an intriguing, unique story. Add to that the lovingly created scenery and enjoyable dialogue, and these smaller accomplishments almost overcome the game's foibles. Heaven's Hope does absolutely nothing new, but maybe that's all we need from a point and click game. Despite its occasionally frustrating puzzle design, Heaven's Hope is a pleasant time waster for a rainy weekend.

All these flaws add up, and while the serious bugs are likely to get fixed (the developers have patched a number of issues since launch), Heaven's Hope remains a bit of a disappointment given its promise. Once the remaining bugs are fixed, it’s a worthwhile game for fans of this genre, who will doubtless appreciate its quirky characters, original story and convoluted item puzzles. Newcomers to the genre would be better off trying the classics first.

For all the niggling little flaws faced throughout, Heaven's Hope still retains more than enough oomph to keep the adventure from grinding to a complete halt. Sadly, it is lacking the promised humour, yet the smart puzzles, and variety included, make for an intriguing journey, albeit a frustrating one at times as the order things must be completed can be too restrictive.

Not the best adventure game I've ever played, but it's certainly fun, well drawn and with a decent enough storyline. Fans of the genre will likely enjoy this but it probably won't convert any new fans.

While there have certainly been quite a number of point-and-click adventures proliferating the Steam Store, Heaven's Hope is one that should remain on the radar for all adventure fans. The humor, charming visuals, brain teasing puzzles, and deep spin on religion and zealots are simply fantastic and not to be missed. As you can tell, I personally cannot recommend it enough.
