The most ambitious racing game out there also happens to be a blast to play, with fantastic audiovisual design making the races and open world journey all the more exciting and compelling. Forza Horizon 3 is the best thing to happen to racing games since Burnout Paradise.
When you pose the analysis of Forza Horizon 3 you know in advance what you will find. Freedom, great music, heart-stopping graphics and loads of hours of wild driving ahead. However, the pleasant surprise is to see that it is not a mere clone of Forza Horizon 2, but that PlayGround Games, despite the obvious continuity, knows how to add elements that give freshness to the whole.

Forza Horizon 3 isn’t just the best open-world racer I’ve ever played, it’s on the best racing games I’ve ever played, period.
Forza Horizon 3 is the best racing game on Xbox One, hands down. It is the pinnacle of what the genre has to offer. Beautiful landscapes, varied racetracks, and an insane amount of customization options create one of the best values on the system.
Playground returns to delight us with a gigantic and spectacular game that any lover of driving games will remain hooked on for months. New features such as the 4-player cooperative campaign or the creation of races and challenges elevate it, once again, to the altar of open-world car games.

An epic and gorgeous drive through Oz scenery, and the best driving game this year.
At the end of the road, Forza Horizon 3 really isn't the type of game where you're cutting surgical lines across pristine tarmac. Instead, you're racing a variety of vehicle types against an equally diverse landscape while kicking up dust and dodging the occasional downpour. It's a wilder side of Forza where you're free to tackle Australia in whatever way you feel is the most enjoyable, and it gives you all the tools you need to make the experience yours. I've always enjoyed the Motorsport side of the track, but Horizon 3 is where you go to have flat-out fun while still sharing the series' strong racing pedigree.
Forza Horizon 3 is the Godfather 2 of the series. It’s taken everything you loved about the first two games, added some 100s and 1000s sprinkles of pure magic, and you now have what is arguably one of the best racing games of all time. It’s for both the driving enthusiast and the clueless among us. Forza Horizon 3 is really for everyone. If you own an Xbox One or PC you owe it to yourself to be part of this vibrant festival celebration of automobile crack.
