Until Dawn: Rush of Blood (VR) Reviews
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood may have almost nothing to do with the base game, but it's a genuinely fun on-rails shooter that shows off some great boss fights and scary moments.
Daft, short-lived fun
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is the perfect title for the PSVR. It’s a fast and frantic, rollercoaster house of horrors that needs to be in your collection. You’ll descend into madness and you’re going to love every minute of it!
Rush of Blood has employs an overbearing use of rote horror imagery, but its immediacy in VR makes it an effective horror game. Brevity aside Rush of Blood is a PlayStation VR game that you want to own, because it’s one of the best games to demo the PlayStation VR with.
Until Dawn Rush of Blood is one of the PlayStation VR highlights and successfully takes the tried and tested rail shooter and transforms it into an over the top game that almost makes it like you are there. Add in lots of collectibles to be found and some different paths the replay value is quite decent. Great graphics and controls, Until Dawn Rush of Blood is a must have VR game for your PlayStation VR!
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is a fine example of how to infuse horror into the unlikeliest of genres, although replayability might be somewhat lacking.
As a VR experience it's an entertaining one that benefits from being in VR, but it's neither one you want to experience more than once nor one you'll remember for long.

While repeat visits become somewhat predictable, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood offers up some genuine scares by tapping into some of our most twisted fears. While the game doesn’t take long to complete, watching your friends play it never stops being fun.
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is an engaging and entertaining horror launch title for the PlayStation VR.
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is a nod to arcade shooters on rails. The fun factor is strong with this one.
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood features a haunting atmosphere and plenty of scares, but the experience is hampered by a constant need to calibrate the hardware.
Worth the price, worth the time, and worth the last level.
It’s the best of the horror bunch.
In many ways, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood succeeds despite itself.
It’s got to be said that an immersive ‘light gun’ experience is perhaps the perfect use of VR, and Rush of Blood is a brilliant showcase of how well the technology works.
Rush of Blood is a simple on-rail shooter. It is an interesting introduction to virtual reality, but nothing more. The (few) hours spent with it, however, are sufficiently scary and entertaining

Like most other VR games, Rush of Blood is let down by the somewhat flaky tracking of your choice of controller, but it's still a gem (and another great one to inflict on others while you kick back and laugh).
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood isn't genre-defining, nor is it a shining example of virtual reality at its best. It is, however, bloody good fun, and offers a more exciting introduction to virtual reality than the mini-game bundles dominating PSVR's launch line-up. It also demonstrates the potential that franchises like Time Crisis and House of the Dead have on PlayStation VR, possibly bringing a return to the arcade thrills not felt in gaming since we ditched coin-ops for consoles.
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is a great little title that makes great use of virtual reality. It’s not as terrifying as you’ve been lead to believe, especially against the likes of Resident Evil 7. This is one to grab if you’re a fan of the franchise, or if you’re open to a jump scare here and there.
