BATMAN - The Telltale Series - Season One Reviews
Batman: The TellTale Series feels like it gives you the chance to make a lot of important feeling decisions, but sometimes it’s in situations that immediately feel contrived. Later use of them may slightly help redeem them, and choices that continue themes of the game — personal vs. private life, justice vs. vengeance, society vs. the individual– still feel relevant, it’s just a shame that the plot’s seams sometimes become very exposed.
If you're a fan of Telltale's other titles, you owe it to yourself to dive into Batman: The Telltale Series — the original storyline and narrative excellence make this one not to miss, especially for Batman fans.
This game is a must play for any Batman fan and a must play for any Telltale fan. The story is different and refreshing but has the best of Telltale baked in with the decisions and the flowing dialogue. It was a pleasure to play and another shining example of great story telling in a game and had some of the best QTE I’ve seen in one of their games.
Batman: The Telltale Series is another wonderful addition to Telltale’s growing library of games. The fantastic story is fully realized thanks to a wonderfully constructed soundtrack and excellent voice-acting.
It was not easy to come up with something new and interesting in the Gotham City's universe, but Telltale Games nailed it with this Batman series thanks to a thrilling and well-written storyline.

Batman: The Telltale Series brings its story-writing prowess to Gotham and takes billionaire Bruce Wayne out of the Dark Knight's shadow.
The best video game version of the Caped Crusader to come along in some time, Batman: The Telltale Series delivers the action and characterizations that you'd expect from a property based on the Dark Knight Detective.
Batman: The TellTale Series Season 01 is a great view into the world of TellTale's Batman. Complete with beautiful worlds, deep characters, and fun twists that'll have you guess what you did, and didn't do, from start to finish. If you're up for a deep look at the man under the cowl, this is one Batman adventure you'll want to do.
Telling one of the most interesting Batman stories in any medium, Batman: The Telltale Series is a really cool take on Batman with some great fight scenes and fun investigations. It just really needs some technical polish.
Perhaps Batman: The Telltale Series’ greatest flaw is inconsistency; playing each episode separately can make some of the weaknesses of the lesser episodes, like technical issues and poor pacing, more apparent in a way that most other Telltale series do not suffer from.
There can be frequent load times and frame rate drops, but they don't really matter as it never gets in the way of the fun and exciting story. What did tarnish an otherwise fantastic game was the awful save system that failed me multiple times, making me repeat 3 hours of gameplay I had already experienced. But if you can get past that and are a fan of The Dark Knight trilogy or Netflix's Daredevil, you should feel right at home and won't want to miss experiencing this new series.
Batman is a great use of the license. It may take a few liberties, it still delivers a great story with good pacing. The engine may be weak, but the writing is on point for fans of the Dark Knight.
Batman: The TellTale series is a great Batman story hindered by an outdated engine.
BATMAN - The Telltale Series - Season One is a surprisingly brutal adventure with a good story. The decisions you have to make between Batman and Bruce Wayne are far more important than in previous Telltale titles before. The new Crowd Play feature lets you have fun with friends on the couch and takes the games from Telltale to the next level.

City of Light is a good season-finale, which concludes all narrative lines of the previous episodes and introduces a new way to look at Bruce Wayne as a character.

Or, if you're simply a fan of the comic book series. Basically, if you like Batman and the idea of an interactive story set in that universe is something that appeals to you then it's probably time you were given the choice to confront an irate Harvey Dent on the roof of a building as either Batman or Bruce Wayne.
If it weren't for the plethora of bugs plaguing this great game, it would score much higher. If you can look past those issues, this is a must play for everyone.
Batman: The Telltale Series isn't the best game for the Switch or the best port. If you can look past the few issues present, it offers a pretty good story that fans of Batman or Telltale games will enjoy.
If you can accept the studio's adventure game formula and the fairly large deviations to the canon, then Batman: The Telltale Series is a good game. The story remains gripping, and the additions to the gameplay formula make this feel more refined over the studio's previous efforts. The lack of further technical polish, however, is unfortunate; fixing those issues would've placed this game in the upper echelon of the studio's offerings. As it stands, Batman fans will certainly want to check out this title.
The first season of Batman - The Telltale Series comes to Nintendo Switch without any particular feature. The port itself is not bad, but of course the graphics is less polished than the other versions already available on PC and home consoles. The possibility of playing the adventure on the go is the real thing here, though the developer could have risked a bit more to create a unique experience by taking advantage of Joy-Cons and HD Rumble. Let's hope that Telltale Games could do more with the Season 2 coming to Switch in the next months.
