MotoGP 17 feels realistic and has every bike and circuit from the official license, but the game hasn´t improved enough from Valentino Rossi The Game (2016) and the graphic engine is outdated.

MotoGP 17 could be seen as a last hurrah for Milestone's ageing game engine, but even with new modes and technical improvements, it feels more like they're treading water while waiting to revitalise the series next year with Unreal Engine 4. Get it if you absolutely must have 1080p60 MotoGP, but otherwise, there's something better on the horizon.

MotoGP 17 is a step back from the variety of content that featured Valentino Rossi: The Game. Manager Career is a good news, but does not justify the purchase of this annual license.

After the 2016 surprisingly versatile and breezy Valentino Rossi: The Game, the series returns to rest on its laurels, offering the usual officially licensed contents, the traditional online and offline modes, plus a new yet slow Management Career powered by the efficient yet ancient proprietary graphic engine. No Rossi, no party.

With two career modes and a buttload of customisation options, combined with exciting racing at any level, MotoGP ‘17 is another success for the series.

MotoGP is basically Valentino Rossi: The Game without The Italian Doctor. The game still works, and it's still fun, but it seems like the devs are waiting for the next year to finally bring the series into a new era.

When you accelerate away from the line for the first time, you quickly realize how clinical and devoid of character it all is.

This year's MotoGP entry takes one step forward and two steps back, offering a game without much innovation and even less reason to return for another lap around the course.

At best, MotoGP 17 can be described as a stopgap. With only minor at best improvements, the game leaves a lot of areas lacking. The major feature is a new career mode which is engrossing as you work your team up through the ranks. Sadly, the game does have plenty of bugs and technical issues, as is the norm for Milestone games at release.

Milestone S.r.l. is one of the most consistent racing game developers, and Moto GP 17 is yet another success for Italian studio. The thrills of cutting a tight turn close and overtaking an opponent are replicated faithfully, and the racing provides plenty of fun. It may lack any distinctive feature that helps it truly stand out from the pack, but fans of motorcycle racing can't go wrong here.

The game is built solid and looks great. Milestone focused on the authenticity behind racing a bike of this caliber and it shows.

MotoGP 17 is, all in all, the choice motorcycle racer for fans. Unforanetly, this is due to a lack of options rather than anything else.

MotoGP 17 is a good motorcycle-racing game that does offer a deep managerial mode, which takes the cake for this recent offering. While it's really an expansion of the Rider mode, with the added focus on running the team, managing the riders and staff members, signing on sponsors, while upgrading the bikes performance and managing marketing campaigns, this is a robust mode that can easily steal plenty of hours. For those just after a pure racing experience, playing this on the hardest difficulty is a heck of a challenge, or jumping online and racing real-world drivers is the sure-way to go.

In my eyes, MotoGP 17 is the best instalment of Milestone's MotoGP efforts yet. The Managerial Career really adds a great deal to the package, and the racing itself keeps you on the edge of your seat due to its authenticity.

MotoGP 17 is a game for racing fanatics. Casual gamers may not like the difficulty and the lack of character in the game. But those who love customization and a realistic racing experience will not go wrong with this title. If you ever wanted to see what it takes to race in the MotoGP world, then give this game a shot.

In short we can say that Milestone with this new MotoGP game does not disappoint, giving us an ever-interesting title that makes space in the great world of the video game market. The sound segment is great, this time enriched with real sounds suited to the situation; Graphics, though still not showing a good leap of quality, continues to please. The general technical section gives a solid frame that allows us to enjoy the full title. Also interesting is the inclusion of the Career Manager that gives a touch of innovation to the saga.
