The Metronomicon: Slay the Dance Floor Reviews
The Metronomicon: Slay the Dance Floor is a lot of fun if you're into rhythm games. I do wish that each of the levels were a bit more different, but what it lacks in variety, it makes up in solid gameplay. I don't think any other game quite like it is out there. I only got a chance to play using a standard controller, but I do know that it's also compatible with Rock Band 4 guitars. Next, I hope they'll consider rigging this up for DDR pads as well.
All in all, The Metronomicon successfully blends the mechanics of rhythm action games with the battle system of JRPGs. As such, it is well worth experiencing, although I am not sure how big a crossover market there is between those two genres. Unlike Persona 4 Dancing All Night, for example, the main element borrowed from RPGs is in the battling. If the concept intrigues you then there is much to enjoy, but only the most freakishly dextrous should try playing at the harder skill settings.
Metronomicon stands tall as one of the best and most creative rhythm games of this generation. If you like a musical focus in your games, put on your clubbing clothes and head out to the Metronomicon.
An interesting twist on both rhythm games and RPGs, but it's not always successful.
The Metronomicon: Slay the Dance Floor is one of the most infectious rhythm games this year. Its perfect blend of music gameplay and RPG mechanics is an ambitious one that sticks the landing, and the addictive soundtrack will have your toe tapping long after you turned it off. Just stay away from the dancing bears if you're not shaking it like a Polaroid.
The Metronomicon: Slay the Dance Floor takes the base game to a whole new level of co-op dance party fun!
If you're a fan of rhythm games and want to add a little bit of RPG quirk to your correctly-timed button presses, then you can't go wrong with Metronomicon: Slay the Dance Floor.
Metronomicon Slay the Dance Floor is a ton of fun and I hope to see more rhythm RPGs in the future. The soundtrack is also top notch and I often had various songs stuck in my head long after I stopped playing. For anyone who likes RPGs and Rhythm games, this is one you won't want to pass up.
Not only does it feel better, personally, but with the new features added I can say that The Metronomicon: Slay the Dance Floor has a bright, rave-colored future ahead of it. If you like rhythm games but don’t want clunky instruments or pads, this is the game for you.
Taken exclusively as a rhythm game, there is so much to appreciate about Metronomicon.
The Metronomicon: Slay the Dance Floor is still a fun game despite its issues. I just wish there was a way tighten its focus.
If you're looking for a new experience and you're a hardcore fan of the rhythm genre I say give it a shot. If you're looking for a true RPG experience or a deep challenging rhythm game, search elsewhere.
All that said, The Metronomicon is a solid musical experience with a cool twist. It offers a story mode, challenge modes, and endless mode and is just a fun light-hearted rhythm game that can be fun for people of all ages. Highly recommended, and if the music genre is to a player’s preference, then quest onward and tap to the beat!
