Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online

Long ago when the world was nothing but a void, the goddesses created Leanverde, the World Tree. The mighty Earth and the majestic oceans were born on the foundation of its sprouts, and the goddesses bestowed upon this world the name of Alsgard. At least, that's what the "4 Goddesses Online" MMO is about. Now the real Gamindustri goddesses must log in and hack n' slash through this game-within-a-game to get to the final boss. What could possibly go wrong?
4 Person Dungeon Raids - You'll never go it alone in the dungeons when you've got 3 other party members helping exterminate dungeon fodder. Choose the one you control whenever you want.
You CAN Cast that Here - Be prepped for any situation when you can map multiple skills to each face button, and max out your meter to unleash a flashy "Awakening Skill" that will devastate those who cross you.
Nep_Main Joined Your Party - Play online with up to three other people for extra loot and harder enemies, plus use the in-game chat feature to really make it feel like an MMO! (It's not.)
Languages - Enjoy English in-game text as well as English and original Japanese in-game voices.

I was so ready for an action RPG entry in the Neptunia series to come along and scratch my itch, but instead it puked on my lap and barely touched the itch. I had so much fun with the story and characters, but with better combat and more consistent performance, this game could've been something special.
Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online is the MMO experience you've been dreaming of for Neptune and her friends, though it does come with a lot of shortcomings. The game does a novel job of producing a quick paced action JRPG that looks and feels incredibly like an MMORPG in almost every way, down to a “text chat” box. There are some issues with combat and that drags the experience down. Despite that, the game provides a fun and basic online mission mode, and provides a lot of fun and fast paced action in a pretty package.
Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online is a perfectly serviceable action RPG. That might not sound like a ringing endorsement, but for folks who are looking for a bit of mindless, distracting entertainment (and who couldn't use that with all the things going on in the world today?), Tamsoft's latest foray into this goofy game industry parody should fit the bill nicely. It's certainly not the mark of a masterpiece when the most you can say about a game is that it's fun and mostly inoffensive, but this series has never really been aiming for that high mark in the first place, and that's just fine by me.
