South Park: The Stick of Truth is a fantastic game, which perfectly captures the essence of its inspiration. A lot of hard work went into crafting this passion project of an RPG, and it shows.

Park: The Stick of Truth is South Park. Even coming back to it after years of not watching the show, there was something for me here. That something was good comedy, which is rare in games or anywhere, and never gets old.

South Park: The Stick Of Truth is finally here and the result? Easily the funniest video game ever made.

South Park: The Stick of Truth defies the odds simply by doing the brand justice, but also sets a standard that future South Park games (or DLC) can aspire to. It's not perfect, but it is the game South Park fans have waited for, beyond a doubt.

South Park: The Stick of Truth perfectly encompasses what the show is all about. My only wish is that more of my favorite characters could've been given the spotlight, but I guess when you've got 17 seasons worth of content, that's easier said than done.

South Park: The Stick of Truth is more than just a faithful adaptation of a cult TV series. It's a benchmark for translating a favourite property into a video game format, something that other licensed properties could learn from. And it's also the funniest game on the market.

South Park: The Stick of Truth feels like it's been 16 years in the making, drawing on the high points from 17 seasons of lewd hilarity. Kenny dies a lot, and those immortal lines are uttered; Jimmy takes five minutes to spit out a sentence, requiring players to press a button to skip it; and Canada is a weird place containing dire bears, farting comedy duos and queefing women - it's all there. This is South Park, and Obsidian's RPG design at their very best.

Without a doubt the finest TV-to-video game adaptation for a very long time. South Park is a great RPG, a faithful adaptation of its source material -- and a game that knows when to stop before its shtick becomes tiresome.

Stick of Truth is South Park's Arkham Asylum--a triumph of a licensed game that manages to fit in line with the franchise while paving new ground in gaming. In this case, the new ground is dick jokes--still, innovation is innovation.

A fun, polished, handcrafted RPG attached to a genuinely funny 15-hour-long South Park episode.

There aren't too many negatives with South Park: The Stick Of Truth but it does have them like the framerate drops and bugs. The game deserves a lot of credit for sticking to a true style of South Park which fans of the show will truly appreciate. The Stick Of Truth also has a surprising amount of customization features, entertaining side missions and enough funny moments to make this a 100% purchase.

The humor is the star of the show, so long as your content with passable gameplay being your only roadblock to the next joke or collectible to reminisce over. Seventeen years in, we probably won't see a better South Park game ever made.

South Park: The Stick of Truth may as well be an achievement. The soul of the show is captured perfectly with its visuals, consistently funny writing and ridiculous scenarios. It also happens to be damn fun to play. After the 13 hours it took me to complete it, all I've been able to think about since is going back to it to find every lost collectible and missed achievement. If you've ever enjoyed South Park, then you absolutely need to own this game.

South Park: The Stick of Truth suffers from overly simplistic RPG mechanics, some iffy design choices, and some major bugs. In spite of all of that, the story nails everything that make Trey Parker and Matt Stone's television series such a joy, making this an ideal choice for South Park fans... and likely South Park fans only.

South Park: The Stick of Truth is at its best when it's acting more like an episode of South Park and less like a video game.
