It may have the blandest visuals on the block and its multiplayer offerings are currently in shambles, but Gravel is still brimming with attitude and excellence. No-frills racing to the extreme, Gravel is a nostalgic road trip that excites, thrills and charms when its given a chance to rev its engine.
Gravel is a game worth playing for despite its technical shortcomings. Although the result is generally good and promising, it is still affected by a very rough graphic background and an excessively simple game development.

Gravel is a solid title, with an old school gameplay, but few game modes. There's a good variety of cars and locations, with a strong connection to the past and the present of the offroad story. There are some technical problems.

Gravel offers fun racing with a variety of cars and environments.
Gravel isn't perfect but it nails enough of the essentials and brings just enough style to the table to make it a great racing game overall.
Gravel is entertains for the most part but outside the career mode the game lacks longevity. Coupled with some odd omissions such as leaderboards it's a competent racer and not much else.
Gravel is aptly named: rough, mildly broken, and dull.
If you're looking for a game with fun arcade off-roading, Gravel is a decent choice but its lack of gameplay variety, average visuals, and steep price hold it back.
Milestone's work with this new automotive arcade is definitely above expectations.

Gravel is a great racing experience for veterans and newcomers alike, with so many tracks and cars to unlock this game will keep you busy for a while. However being unable to find an online match has me worried that the replay value of this game isn't very good after you've played through the meat of the single-player game.
The fun you can have with Gravel outweighs its shortcomings.
All in all, Gravel is a mediocre racing game; one that cannot challenge any of the top quality racing titles currently available on the market. The game has many qualities that the other recent release from Milestone enjoyed, but unlike the motorcycle racing genre, car racing genre is too crowded.

This is a flawed racing game that can still be fun if you can overlook some of its flaws. It suffers from a lack of polish and underwhelming visuals but the driving mechanics are simple to grasp making it easier to recommend for a newcomer to racing games.
Gravel offers relaxing off-road experience with arcade feeling. Milestone created enought content, but tracks are mostly boring.

When all is said and done, all that has to be said about Gravel, is that it is likely going to be one of your favourite titles of this generation, if only you are willing to give it a fighting chance and won’t judge it by the studio’s prior efforts.
Gravel does precisely one thing well and that’s be a competent, fun racer that’s worth checking out if you’re looking to just find exactly that with very little else sprinkled on top.
