Neverout Reviews
Simple but fun puzle game that only tries to do well that disregarding many other areas of the game as sound or narrative.

Neverout takes a simple premise and packs it into a small package. With just a few hours of playtime, it doesn't outstay its welcome, but there's not much variation to the puzzles and it could have done with a story. Puzzle fiends should definitely take a look, especially if they own a VR headset.
As the Nintendo Switch has no virtual reality capabilities, this means Neverout cannot fully live up to its expectations. Despite its interesting challenges and its good difficulty curve, Neverout feels like it's not at its true level.

Even if its best experienced using a VR headset as it was originally intended, Neverout on Switch is at most worth a quick look for it concept and intriguing puzzles.
Neverout is an interesting VR title turned into a Nintendo Switch experience that seems to be better suited to handle it. It's fun, it's challenging, and it can be a bit frustrating now and then, but it's still worth checking out, especially at the price point.
Neverout it's a very basic puzzle game, too much. The basic idea is appreciable, but there are no great ideas and the variety is reduced to the bone.

A fun puzzle to have on the go, to pick up and play a couple of levels while waiting on the bus. Just like physical cube puzzles, have a fun time challenging yourself, but don't expect a story to keep you invested. Recommended for puzzle fans!
This easy and accessible first person puzzler has its flaws.

Despite the lack of a story it’s still hard to not recommend it. It’s a more immersive experience if you play it in PlayStation VR but if you don’t own one it’s worth playing on the TV as well. If you’ve got a few dollars and are in the mood for something new to test your brain with give Neverout a shot.
Neverout has very good idea of its puzzles, but the implementation of movement and the camera system ruined the experience. You will probably get Dizzy or motion sickness after playing the game –even in non-VR mode. I hadn't got motion sick even after hours of playing FPS games, but I got Dizzy after playing less than one hour in non-VR mode and I forced into playing it in small time intervals. In the end i must say that Neverout is a game with very good puzzles that also has various problems.

Neverout is a well thought out and tricky puzzle game which is playable in both VR and Flat mode. With a similar concept to Cube, the film from 1997, each new ‘room’ you fall into offers a new challenge which you must overcome in order to progress further and get out of this prison! It offers a decent challenge and some of the puzzles are rather cryptic which may take you a while to work out the solutions for. Puzzle fans will love the challenge and casuals will enjoy the experience, especially if you don your VR headset and play it fully immersed within the 6×6 grid-based environments. Either way, Neverout is certainly one to pick up if you like your puzzles!
In the end you’ll either embrace what Neverout is looking to offer with its more than 60 levels of first-person puzzling or you won’t. I can absolutely say that I’ve never played anything quite like it in general, let alone on the Switch, and though there are levels I was able to pretty easily work through there were others that gave me pause. Working through some solutions takes some trial and error as you work out how everything needs to be arranged but completing those levels then tends to be quite satisfying. If you can deal with the odd controls, and would like a new perspective on puzzling (literally), Neverout is a welcome change of pace.
While most of us would be content with four walls and a roof, what if you were trapped inside six walls with a hatch that only led to another box with six walls? While the former lends to a sense of peace and protection the other creates a prison and when one set continuously leads to another it imbues a sense of dread and despair as you feel like you've never get out.
For all the fans of the iconic movie Cube, Neverout will be a pleasant experience. Especially fans of logic games will enjoy it, because to successfully play the game, you'll need to think hard.
