Sniper Elite V2 Remastered Reviews
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is a sublime WWII combat game, featuring a still very polished gameplay mechanic, great combat, and satisfying reward. The remastering makes the experience fresh and new, and while the level design is rather dated, the game still feels great, and even many degree better now than before.
Finding Sniper Elite V2 Remastered at the beginning can be strange, it is not exactly a game that we want to make a remaster, but Rebellion has found sense to offer us the opportunity to play on our current machines to the game that defined the franchise and as we know it today. For the remaster all downloadable content has been added, and also a photo mode has been added, which together with some extras more, and the relevant technical and graphic upgrade, make up a title that fans of the franchise and other war games will appreciate.

This game is worth it for the sniping alone. It really does feel amazing to get those long range kills and have the whole game go slow motion as you follow the bullet through the target (similar to the more recent Mortal Kombat games).
On a whole I do have to say that the game does fell like the complete package, with all the extras such as characters that you can select from, all the DLC that was available being included, you are getting your monies worth, however, the technical aspect of the game still hold it back slightly. That being said, if you’re a fan of the series, or never got around to playing it the first time around, you will definitely enjoy the game.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered still has the great shooting mechanics as the original. I had a blast sneaking my way behind enemy lines and seeing all of the glorious x-ray kill cams. Single player is really fun, and the multiplayer modes can be fun with the right set of friends. The graphics are great, but I wish some more time was put into remastering some of the linear levels and technical anomolies. Overall, if you are a fan of the series, this is a great addition to your gaming libary.
There’s a lot to do in Sniper Elite V2 Remastered and it’s very well presented, and addictive. It might get old quickly – essentially executing the same play repeatedly – but you’ll definitely have fun whilst you are doing it.
There is a target audience for Sniper Elite V2 Remastered - but it is something of a narrow one. If you are late to the Sniper series, having only played it on the current generation of systems and are curious what came before, this is an excellent way to go back and experience an earlier release in the series. That being said, if you are not a fan of the Sniper games or you already own the original, there is probably not enough reason to go back to the well yet again here. There are some improvements to be had here, but not enough to really differentiate this updated version dramatically from its prior release.
If you missed it the first time around, treat yourself. If you’re coming back from the original, cast aside any aspersions and just lose yourself in some classic Sniper Elite goodness.
Becoming an Elite Sniper isn't an easy mission, especially at the height of World War II. But with the right equipment, a slow-motion kill cam, and a sniper rifle, there's nothing stopping you!
Sniper Elite has only evolved since this game’s original version, but the foundations here are still strong.
Unfortunately, with a semi-dead multiplayer, very few people to play Cooperative mode with, you'll find that your enjoyability is slim pickings, but if you can enjoy it the way you would any single player game, then Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is right up your alley and remains one of the best sniper-focused games on the market.
It is hard to determine an exact value for this package. On the one hand, it is a good title with all of the additional content and not so new abilities, offered with a price of 30$, on the other hand, if you are someone who has already played the game, there is so little to extract out of this experience due to minimal changes in graphics and gameplay. It is worth noting that rebellion's decision to put a 30$ price point on this remaster is worth the praise. If you have not played Sniper Elite V2 before and you are a fan of sniper games, Sniper Elite V2 Remaster's low price point and high amount of content make it a no brainer for your money.

Overall, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered was an exceptional experience. They’ve really upped the graphics here and the performance, while at times lowering slightly, generally ran really smoothly.
If you came late to the series, never played V2 and are a fan, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is a must-play and a great deal with all of the bundled items including the DLC. For those who have followed the series since the beginning, V2 Remastered does look much better and play much better but whether you wish to play through the same adventure again is a matter of personal taste. Just be aware that the gameplay is exactly how you remembered it, a far cry from the sequels.
Unfortunately, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is not a game that can easily stand out in 2019.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered has fleeting moments of brilliance, marred by some older genre tropes that show the original game's age.
Whilst not the best Sniper Elite game in the franchise, Sniper Elite V2 is certainly worth a look at if you’ve not played it before or have fond memories of it. The remaster has done wonders to the games visuals, pushing the resolution along with various enhancements to the lighting, shadows and textures – it’s never looked so pretty! Not only that, with the addition of a performance mode (I was playing on the PS4 Pro so I’m not sure of this on other models), the gameplay swaps from a solid 30fps to a buttery smooth 60fps at the blink of an eye. There’s just something therapeutic about sniping down Nazis in 60fps, watching their innards crumble in slow motion…
Sniper Elite v2 Remastered is from its technical point of view a well made second part of a series, which managed to achieve through little adjustements a lot of depth and established himself in the videogame landscape. Even though the remaster misses many of the advantages of his successors and its linearity can be a little bit boring, interested new entrants and Fans, who are searching for a little snack until Sniper Elite 5, should give it a buy.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered has dated gameplay that’s a stark reminder at how much the series has improved with Sniper Elite 3 and Sniper Elite 4. When examining this game as a purely standalone experience, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is a solid game that benefits from improved visuals and a way for those who haven’t experienced this series with a better way of doing so. This game’s influence is one to be remembered, and is captured so well with this remaster.
