Agent A is more Johnny English than James Bond but there's no harm in having a little fun as a spy.

Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise is a fun little puzzler. It has fairly simple puzzles, but the real challenge is connecting the dots and figuring out what you need to use and where.

While the original base game has been expanded to five chapters die-hard puzzlers should have no issue completing this game in 5-10 hours. Though somewhat short the game is priced right on Steam for $9.99 USD. Even so, the puzzles are great fodder for your brain. The whole game seems like a mash-up of Myst interlaced with moments from Archer (TV series) with the classic style of the "No One Lives Forever" video games. Sadly this looks like the final chapter for Agent A but if Yak & Co decide to extend the adventures of Ruby La Rouge we'll be the first in line to buy it!

However you decide to play Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise, do it. The game is clever, it's funny, it's well-designed, and it's involving. It's a great game to share with others, but it's fun to play on your own, too.

No. Agent A isn't the next big adventure classic. The puzzles aren't as imaginative or challenging, the world not as captivating, and the journey not exactly that long or replayable. Classic or not, though, this is undoubtedly a very entertaining ride; a series of puzzles that are quite fun, especially if in search for something that is casual friendly, but also respects your intellect - and is cheap. As the cherry on top, it features a flawless and very pretty, '60s spy film style, with plenty of areas being wallpaper-worthy.

Regardless, I can highly recommend assisting Agent A in her mission as it's a fun distraction that doesn't overstay its welcome. This review will self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck, Agent!.

There’s something quite special about a puzzle game that requires you to have a notebook and pen by your side.

An interesting escape room type puzzle game focused on a secret agent/spy thriller that clicks all the rights buttons in more ways than one.

With its blend of satisfyingly designed enigmas and its slick Bond-like presentation, Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise will tick plenty of boxes for puzzle-solving sleuths. It does have a few flaws thanks to its emphasis on repeatedly traveling across the environment, whilst the controls can be a little sketchy when playing outside of the Switch’s handheld mode too. However, neither of these issues prevent Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise from being a tantalising little puzzler that will totally grip players in during its five-hour runtime.
