Risk of Rain 2 Reviews
Risk of Rain 2 offers an impressive but difficult adventure. The game can reward smart players for some steady-progressed strategy, while stubborn and radical players will be punished instantly.

Varied items, engrossing gameplay and a killer soundtrack make Risk of Rain 2 one of the best roguelike shooters in recent years. The lack of a mid-game save feature and some uninspired environments hold this sequel back, but the astonishing translation from 2D to 3D more than makes up for it.
The content that’s in the game right now shows a lot of promise, but it is unquestionably missing some content that will make it feel fleshed out.
Having played both the original Risk of Rain and the Early Access version of this sequel on PC I’m pretty well-acquainted with both the level of challenge it provides, and of how chaotic the combat can tend to get in a hurry if you don’t keep up with the spawn rate of your enemies in spots...
The addictive gameplay loop is more than enough for players to overlook the spikes in difficulty and repetitive maps.
Risk of Rain 2 stacks up as one of the most well-designed rogue-lites on the market, and is a clear example of early access done right. Its replay value is high, and its fun factor is even higher, especially with friends. The cracks of its porcelain skin are ugly, because of how pristine the rest of its form is.
Risk of Rain 2 is not the deepest of games. It is however fun every single run through. Add in up to three co-op companions and you are in for one heck of a good time.
Risk of Rain 2 is one of the finest repeatable experiences of recent times. The amalgamation of Dungeon Crawling and Third Person Action works seamlessly and drags the player into a world they can hardly exit.

Risk of Rain 2 has a lot to offer and despite some downsides to the multiplayer side of things, the game is still really well put together. There is a lot to explore and unlock, but most importantly, it’s really fun to play. The core gameloop of Risk of Rain 2 makes it accessible while the additional features and mechanics make it tough to put down. I highly recommend this game to both roguelike veterans and those who are interested in diving into the genre.
I just can’t emphasize how good the game is and how much fun it is, it scratches many itches at the same time but most of all it is enjoyable and accessible as even if you suck, you can still advance.
With its procedurally generated levels, infinite leveling system, a plethora of items and characters to unlock, and some beautiful and intelligent world designs, Risk of Rain 2 is a co-op experience you won’t forget anytime soon.
Risk of Rain 2 is a perfect 3D translation of the 2D side-scroller it's based on.
