Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore Reviews
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is the definitive version of a JRPG that was already quite enjoyable.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is a great RPG that deserved a second chance on a more popular console. The changes might not be numerous but what is there elevates the game beyond the original and for those with a tolerance of the idol industry, you’ll find a fantastic RPG that fills that Persona void on the Switch.
JRPG fans hoping for something to tide them over until Persona 5 Royale should find a comfortable home in the weird world of Tokyo Mirage Sessions.
A group of magical youngsters do battle on the streets of Tokyo in this endearing, addictive anime-like role-playing game
While Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore may not have quite as much Fire Emblem influence as some fans may want, the two series go very well together with a unique premise and Mirage system that is overlaid upon a pretty traditional turn-based system at its core that will satisfy both fan bases.
Wii U hit is back, this time for Nintendo Switch system and still very good.

Any Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, or JRPG fan shouldn't hesitate to pick up Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore. It's fantastic to see another lost gem from the Wii U shine brightly on the Nintendo Switch.
TMS #FE Encore is a solid enough RPG that doesn't play to its strengths and ultimately falls short of greatness.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is the best version of a great game. It's got great characters with a lot of depth (except for Itsuki), varied visual themes, wonderful music, and an addictive battle system. Its debut didn't get the attention it deserved, but maybe this encore will shine a spotlight on one of the best RPGs in recent memory.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore provides solid JRPG performance. The story is exciting until the end. The crisp difficulty level remains challenging, but never unfair. I could really let myself fall during my several hours of travel in colorful Tokyo. This is also due to the fact that the parallel worlds were thematically wonderfully designed. Unfortunately, you can see that the ravages of time gnawed at the title. The graphics were not changed in the Encore version. There is also only a Japanese voice output. At least an English voice over could have been implemented here. JRPG fans will love Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore. Even people who have played the game before should consider buying it again thanks to the new dungeons, story missions and costumes.

The idol-centric story may put some off, but Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is still a dynamite RPG that features an excellent combat engine and wonderful, flashy visuals.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions # FE Encore is an excellent combination of Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei/Persona. Features from renown RPG series are brought together for an interesting and worthwhile experience. The Switch version improves and refines upon the foundation of the Wii U version, making it a must buy for JRPG fans.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is a classic JRPG that manages to convey the essence of Japanese pop culture with a touch of Fire Emblem and everything Atlus has perfected in its games. A take-out edition that justifies the purchase and some extras that may be due if you played the Wii U version

Those with no interest in the Japanese idol industry may be alienated by how deeply Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE: Encore digs into it (I'm sure I missed a lot of jokes), but I can't imagine there are Nintendo gamers out there who aren't interested in Japanese entertainment. Don't seek this one out specifically as a Fire Emblem game, but fans of Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, or JRPGs in general should love it.
Nearly four years after its original release, Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE Encore holds up well even today. The switch to the Switch, pun so totally intended, feels surprisingly natural even with the loss of a second screen. The first game was criminally underrated so now’s a good time for folks who missed it to experience its unique flavor as well as all the extra post-release content. The game also adds some new features to entice fans who played the game before. In fact, I selfishly want folks to support if that means we get a chance for a Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE 2. Pretty please for reals, Sega/Atlus and Nintendo?
I’m so glad that this game has been given a new lease of life on Switch. It’s not always perfect and it may not be what you expect, but it’s still another great RPG that definitely feels more at home in a portable world than on the big screen. If allowed, this one can be a real crowd-pleaser.
With more story, extra unlockables, and the battle improvements and additions; Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE Encore stands as an across-the-board improvement for an already worthwhile JRPG.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is a great remaster for one of the greatest JRPG available on Wii U and a great way to experience it (In case you didn't have the chance of playing before), but the story still doesn't make much sense some times and some of the mechanics have been refined by ATLUS in other games of the genre.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is the second breath of life this underappreciated game needed. It shows that mashup titles can work effectively if implemented with care and has a great story with a fantastic depiction of Tokyo. It’s new additional content does feel like a bit of an afterthought but if you haven’t previously played through the game then there is no better way to enjoy it than right here on the Switch.
