Xenoblade Chronicles: Definite Edition truly lives up to its title in a time where others have done the bare minimum when it comes to making older games available on the current hardware generation. The addition of extra content is also a nice touch and being able to play such a quality title again in this manner easily makes it another essential game to play on the ever popular Nintendo Switch.
Xenoblade Chronicles is one of my favorite games of all time and Nintendo has made it even better with the release of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. The game looks amazing, the soundtrack is one of the best you will find, and the story is top tier. There really is no other franchise out there like this one, and that’s what makes it so special. While others may copy aspects of it, none can put together the whole package like Xenoblade does. At the $59.99 price tag, if you own a Switch, you should snag up a copy today. This is one journey that should not be missed by anyone!
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is one of the best RPGs currently available on the console. The technical aspect of the graphics in the portable mode is the only negative element I can think of, and it is far from being a problem that actively disrupts the game. I confess that I had a lot more fun than I expected exploring the gigantic world that it has to offer and I believe that any RPG fan who has not yet played it should take the opportunity to dive into this classic.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition offers the best way to experience this timeless RPG for again or for the first time. The improvements to the game’s graphics, UI, and battle system make many complaints about the Wii release a thing of the past. Furthermore, the added Future Connected story content bridges the gap of loose story arcs and paves the way for the future of the series.
This return is a must have for long time fans, with a remaster that shows the full potencial of the series on the Switch.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is absolutely the definitive way to experience this masterpiece. The new improvements are absolutely welcomed, and add much needed ease of access to the game. The remastered soundtrack is an absolute joy to listen to, and although Future Connected didn't quite live up to the hype, is still an enjoyable side story.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition’s brilliant world and thrilling combat help it stand tall as a remarkable RPG ten years on from its initial release. It does have some imperfections, most notably with the lower resolution in handheld mode and some sketchy party AI, but for the most part it offers an adventure of the highest standard. If you missed out on MONOLITH SOFT’s epic adventure back in 2010, you really couldn’t pick a better time than now to dive in. It’s as simple as this: Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is an unmissable release for RPG fans.
The Definitive Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles is a great opportunity to enter the world of Bionis and Mechonis once again. The new Content adds about 15 extra hours of great content, adorned with beautiful locations and high-end melodies.

Remaster or not, the quality-of-life changes and new epilogue make it a much more enjoyable time. While the game may take a few visual hits in portable mode, it’s still playable and helps to grind out that extra experience. With an incredible world to explore and several great characters, there’s no better time to jump into Xenoblade Chronicles.

There are tons of side quests to keep you busy and level you up, and while there might not be character creation, you can change the way your characters look with different armor pieces and see your style play out in the cutscenes. The characters seem well rounded and are enjoyable, and when it comes to battles, there is never a dull moment due to their roles and abilities. Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive edition is a must-have in your Switch library.

From its engaging story, its mystical cast of fascinating characters, its charming appeal, and world of wonders, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition proves itself once again, to be the greatest JRPG story ever told, period.
While certain elements haven’t aged as gracefully such as it’s bland quest design and sparse open world, quality of life improvements set to make the adventure as fluid and accessible as possible. If you’ve ever been interested in the series, this is the perfect entry point for a sweet and engaging adventure. Veteran players will no doubt find much to love in the expanded story with Future Connected.
It’s hard not to be awestruck by what Monolith Soft has achieved in revitalising this classic Wii title, bringing it to a new generation and giving it the tender love and care that it so obviously deserves.
