Crucible's every-man-for-himself combat and tedious respawn process make this team-based shooter a slog.

On paper, Crucible was built for me. It’s a MOBA-infused hero shooter with an emphasis on mobility, with a diverse line-up and some interesting new ideas. In reality, I’d rather play any of the many games that grapple with just one of Crucible’s heads, and pulls it off far better. This hydra might be sprawling, but none of it looks healthy.
Crucible in its current form feels uninspired in a lot of ways. While the heroes themselves would fit great into smaller arena matches, throwing sixteen players into an oversized MOBA map sours what makes Crucible unique among other hero shooters.
Beautiful scenery, strong characters, and inventive mechanics give Crucible a solid foundation - one undermined by poor communication between players and from Relentless Studios.
Bad games have released and been saved after years of updates and patching before, but I don’t see that happening with Crucible. The player base dropped so dramatically and in such a short period of time that I have a feeling Amazon will be pulling the plug sooner rather than later, where it will go on to join the likes of Battleborn, Gigantic, and Paragon.
Crucible's world, characters, and gameplay can be a pleasure - but without proper communication, the fun is often cut short.
The intent of Crucible is very noble, but the result is a job that can hardly have its say in the shooter market. The promised originality consists in a smoothie of ideas taken from games already on the market; the final flavor is as immature as it is anonymous: postponed to September.

There’s a good game inside of Crucible but at the moment, it’s buried. Marred by some baffling gameplay decisions and technical difficulties that patches are slowly ironing out, it’s difficult to recommend in its current state, but it definitely shows promise for the future.
Crucible is a shooter game released with 1 map, 3 PVP game modes, and 10 characters, called HUNTERS, to choose from, all with different stats, weapons, and skills. The main game mode, Heart of the Hives, is a shooter with MOBA gameplay mechanics. TEAMWORK and COMMUNICATION are essential to fully experience the potential and fun of this game. To be competitive and feel in control of the game, you will have to learn about all hunters and how the game modes works. There will be a lot of fights and action, but JUST KILLING ENEMIES WOULDN'T BRING VICTORY. Strategy and combat tactics play a big role in what team takes the win. As Crucible still doesn't have any in-game communication features, players are gathering up at its official Discord Channel.
