Controversial Star Wars Game's Sequel Reportedly Canned

While it's not uncommon for games to get shelved, a new report has surfaced stating that there's this AAA game based on the Star Wars franchise that was planned to have a sequel, though that might not be happening anymore.

It's not surprising when you factor in the game's commercial performance and the fact that the title has no multiplayer component, which publisher Ubisoft can rely on to reinvigorate its player base.

This tactic is something Ubisoft has done with games such as Rainbow Six Siege, For Honor, and more, which proves a game's fate isn't sealed just by its launch numbers, though it's a different story if it's a purely single-player game. If it's not a live service, there's not much to entice people to come back if they aren't fans of the core gameplay experience.
