I've officially given up trying to understand Square Enix's marketing strategies. To be sure, if you're a big game, your ports get all sorts of coverage. Final Fantasy 7 Remake's Nintendo Switch 2 arrival brought with it a suitable sense of bombast. But then there are games like Triangle Strategy, where years-late ports occur without so much as a blip of advertisement.
The same officially holds true for Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster, as the company revealed today that it's available on both Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. To be clear, this is the same game that represented the world's foremost JRPG-making publisher for the Switch 2's launch lineup. It probably didn't sell a ton of copies, but nor is it likely to have flubbed the assignment—folks had few choices, and it's a pretty good game. One could be forgiven for expecting something, even a blog post, to mark the occasion here.
