Tons of fetch quests, far too much time spent away from the theme park, and forcing the role playing out of RPG, it’s still a fun addition - if you don’t mind playing it evil.
Beautiful and full of surprises. The colourful and jaw-dropping vistas and experiences in ABZU will stick with you for a long time. Just like Journey did.
An uttering fantastic game, Dragon Quest Heroes is more then deserving of your time. If you like hack n' slash games, do not pass this one up!
Definitely a worthwhile game to pick up if you’re even remotely interested, featuring a really solid story and combat, this is a time sink and a half of content. Throw in the variations of combat style of the six melee and four ranged weapons and you’ll have a blast against the likes of Vajra, Hannibal and Quadriga! Now to jump into it and lose my life for the hunt
The Devil's Daughter is a collection of minigames sewn together with a very questionable story, but that manages to keep the player amused for the duration of the game. Particularly given the atmosphere crafted in every detail of London and the deduction mechanics, the game will often make you feel like Sherlock.
BOID is a strategy game that is bare-bones in terms of content, but what it has is exceptionally well-polished.
A generic, bland but functional SHMUP whose technical issues make it unenjoyable and tedious to actually play.
Alone with You is a game in the same way that a statuette is a doorstop – it works and it's interesting to look at, but it would be better off doing something else. This title's compelling writing is let down by its monotonous gameplay, and I'm just not willing to endure one to enjoy the other.
With it's length being the only downside, Bird of Light is a speedrun challenge that can appeal to the younger or more casual gaming audience.
You will go to Hell and back, just to play this game a little more. Definitely worth playing!
Headlander is a funny, well designed game with an excellent aesthetic, it's a shame that a few shortcomings let it down in the long run
Urban Pirate is a management game with a joke that falls flat and mechanics that haven’t been thought through.
Bohemian Killing is a promising but ultimately disappointing game, a great story and world let down by frustrating - and sometimes buggy - mechanics.
This a game I could easily recommend to anyone with its mechanics being simple but complex enough to provide a decent challenge, it would be an awesome addition if they were to implement a tool system to make and play custom levels, almost a Mario Maker in that regard. It's great from start to finish and provided an incredibly consistent experience that made me want more. If there's a sequel or a dev studio I'd keep an eye for a solid you couldn't do worse than to keep tabs on Fiddlesticks Games
An excellent game visually, mechanically and with it’s strong story and acting, this should be in your libraries.
A marked improvement on last years entry, with plenty of new features to keep all levels of players interested. The new features add much needed playability to the sessions in the career and the manual starts/pit entry and formation laps add the extra sprinkling of realism needed to help it feel more immersive.
There isn’t much to write about this, it’s a solid game that’s really fun as a co-op game for a games night/party and a nice family game after the Sunday roast. Video options weren’t key for me, especially if it’s not demanding on the system. But, the caveat to the high score is if it were have sold itself purely as a single player game and at the same RRP, then it might have the issue of being undercooked.
Worms W.M.D as a whole is a lot of fun, it’s the best 2D Worms title we’ve had in a long time and it reminds me why these games are so enjoyable to play. If you are looking for a multiplayer game to play with family and friends on the couch or for a game night over the internet you could do a lot worse than get a bout of Worms!
An impressive piece of technology capable of generating some truly gorgeous vistas, the game layered on top however disappoints in almost every way and just has no depth. Planets are fun to wander around whilst gathering resources to move on but you won’t linger.
Although not for the light hearted with the RNG artillery fire and the cat and mouse like combat trade off, which can lead to the game falling slightly short of forgiving. Nonetheless, this is a game worth recommending as a short experience with the story being like mini episodes of conflict and silliness. But remember, war never changes no matter how cute things get.
