GameGrin's Reviews
The way Siege approach to assaulting and defending a building is much more interesting than any shooter we've seen before, and we can say that it definitely nails the core gameplay. However, netcode, microtransanctions and the season pass just made it not be the perfect hardcore first-person shooter.
Three of the PlayStation 3's strongest titles remastered by BluePoint Games for the PlayStation 4. Old problems with the gunplay are smoothed over with the boost to 60fps. The best way to play Uncharted for the first time or to catch up before the release of Uncharted 4.
I can't recommend Thea. If there's something to note, it's the fact that it runs pretty smoothly and without crashes. Like you should. Away from this game.
It does have some hard puzzles at times but I feel that this game does a great job when it comes to uncovering a very good story and you will surely appreciate the way everything turns out.
Depending on the tactical depth you want to approach, the title can take dozens of hours to complete, so you do get a lot of content for what you pay. In the end, Hard West is a solid tactics game set in the wild west.
A great, action packed game that still has a classical feel to it
Telltale's Game of Thrones: Episode 6 is a worthy, if slightly underwhelming, ending to the developer's first crack at the subject matter. Perhaps with some time and a little more creative freedom they might be able to craft a truly open-ended story to satisfy even the most finicky of gamers.
Contingency Plan doesn't fix any issues or break the game; rather, it seems to be more catered to those proficient at it, and that can take that leap of difficulty and crave a bigger and longer challenge. More content is always appreciated, but here it becomes superfluous, as it adds no interesting twist to the gameplay..
If you want an experience that offers the closest you'll get to be being part of the original movie trilogy then this is it, but If you're looking for something more in-depth and offers longevity similar to Battlefield then your looking in the alderaan places.
It can be a little "on-the-rails", but it's a very nice looking, smoothly playing platformer.
A fantastic addition to a game that had already won my heart. Although I would have appreciated a greater variety in items and combat, what has been introduced is impressive and superbly implemented.
A fine pack of party games with some true blue winners in the mix. The price may be a wee, tiny bit steep, but come on, can you put a price on hilarity?
Need For Speed promises so much yet fails to deliver to any high standard. While it is one of the most gorgeous street racers you'll set eyes upon, cringeworthy live action cutscenes, an empty world and a lack of singular gameplay direction mean it's nothing more than another average addition to the series.
Fans of pinball will like this a lot as the tables are varied and stuffed with content. Fans of the shows will like it too as they cram in a load of references. It's a good game with few negatives. Cross Buy works in an frustrating way though so be careful which system you buy on.
The Park is deep, complex and disturbing. With great themes and passive mechanics, The Parks invites you to create a seriesof images in your mind that will put you in the flesh of the main character, Lorraine, and question her continuosly. Its links to The Secret World make it a bit confusing for those who haven't played it, though.
The combination of RPG, 4X and board game really works, and with the exception of a tiny map size and some repetitive elements, it is an extremely promising debut for League of Geeks.
Shallow, but entertaining, this HD re-release is a passing distraction that will placate fans of the action platformer genre.
Some minor points mar a pretty great game, with lots of secrets and depth.
Football Manager 2016 is another successful entry into a series that is perhaps struggling to find new things to innovate. Changes to tactics, player interaction and the 3D match engine are much welcomed and definitely mark an improvement from last year's game. It will keep fans of the series more than happy (that is until 2017 rolls off the production line next year).
Despite its shortfalls Halo 5: Guardians still holds strong as being an excellent contender as the current best shooter available for Xbox One. Afterall it is Microsoft's flagship title, but with a short lackluster story that only the diehard fans will appreciate, the multiplayer is truly where the focus is. 60FPS makes a world of difference and is here to stay with the franchise, but I just hope that they take the feedback from the community and make things better in the next installment.
