Pecaminosa - A Pixel Noir Game brings an enticing adventure shrouded in various detective movie clichés. The ambiance and soundtrack involve you in an inexplicable way in the small world of this dark and corrupt city, and the gameplay, while not the most interesting and elaborate, doesn't compromise fun and immersion. The dialogues are the icing on the cake of a work that delivers such interesting story and characters that make you want to explore every dimly lit alley in the city.

6 / 10.0 - King of Seas
Jun 8, 2021

King of Seas is an open world game that is momentarily attractive due to its various aspects related to gameplay, the RPG progression system and naval combat. However, its qualities cannot face the strong waves of the ocean that drown the fun in moments. With a generic open world, repetitive main and side missions, and frequent crashes, the 3DClouds title is a reasonably interesting pirate adventure.

Capcom Arcade Stadium is competent enough in recreating the exciting and noisy atmosphere of an arcade shop, bringing fond memories to the older players and historical context for the younger ones. Its varied collection features dozens of the company's games, some very remarkable, others not so much, covering the main styles that have consecrated Capcom in arcades. Despite the absence of some major games and online multiplayer, it's an almost must-have title for arcade and retrogaming enthusiasts, with lots of extra features and customization options.

8.5 / 10.0 - Ynglet
Jun 8, 2021

Ynglet delights with its adventure focused on sensations. It's nice to control the friendly creature through stages full of floating bubbles, in a smooth progression punctuated by some more complicated parts. The highlight is the surreal and colorful atmosphere with a look that seems to have been drawn with marker pens and a soundtrack that is assembled according to the character's movements. The adventure is not very complex or long, but the duration is correct and compatible with the proposal. In the end, Ynglet is a brief and immersive experience that is well worth it.

8.5 / 10.0 - The TakeOver
Jun 7, 2021

The TakeOver has everything you'd expect from a good beat ‘em up, with a different look and simple and impeccable gameplay. Despite some occasional technical problems, it is a great recommendation for being fun and enjoyable to play, especially for beat'em up fans.

8.5 / 10.0 - Knockout City
Jun 6, 2021

Using the popular dodgeball matches as a premise, Knockout City manages to provide an incredible sports game. Every throw, catch and pass is fun, including the various mechanics involved in the process. The technical production is also great, with excellent visuals, sound and gameplay for any audience. We need to wait and see how the game evolves in the coming months and whether it will manage to reach its full potential.

7.5 / 10.0 - Wing of Darkness
Jun 6, 2021

Wing of Darkness manages to put together a script with consistent evolution and characters who develop a captivating relationship that result in impressive endings. Taking into account its graphic limitations, the gameplay reinforces the fun potential of air combat simulators, a type of game little explored in the current industry or underused in other genres. This makes it a fun option for fans and a good entry point for beginners due to the simplicity of the missions.

7.5 / 10.0 - Mighty Goose
Jun 4, 2021

Mighty Goose thrills with its arcade run and gun mechanics. It's hard not to have fun controlling a bounty hunter goose through stages filled with intense situations with lots of gunfire and explosions. Not only that, the game also captivates with its colorful and charismatic atmosphere that harks back to the classics of the 32-bit era. The mechanics are uncomplicated and accessible, but the simplicity is bothersome, as well as the extreme visual chaos at times. In the end, Mighty Goose delivers what it proposes: a frantic and brief experience.

Astalon: Tears of the Earth offers an immersive adventure through an elaborate world with a retro feel. It's great to alternate between heroes to overcome different challenges, such as combats, puzzles and platform sections, with the constant presence of secrets that encourage you to thoroughly explore the scenarios. The difficulty is intense and dying is inevitable, but this is part of the progression, after all we can strengthen the characters by reviving them. The penalty of defeat is to restart the journey at the entrance to the tower, and shortcuts make exploration more agile, but, even so, this approach creates some repetitive stretches. In the end, Astalon: Tears of the Earth is a remarkable, varied, and fun experience.

Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World works great as a remake as well as a stand-alone adventure title. It has some small flaws for this generation, mainly due to its somewhat outdated movement, but it is still an interesting take on such a classic and fascinating franchise.

Mayhem in Single Valley is short and simple, yet very fun and creative. Despite minor issues with platforms and performance, the game presents a captivating and challenging adventure that holds you to the end. All creative aspects are well done, with vivid backgrounds, charismatic characters and funny dialogues. Everything was made to delight and amuse. It is an excellent option for those looking for a simple game to laugh and pass the time.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition brings a major graphical evolution to one of the biggest RPG franchises, but that's the only notable change. The collection seems to have been designed only for longtime fans who wanted to see their favorite saga in current visuals, without worrying about gaining new admirers by keeping gameplay somewhat dated and not translating the text into other languages, such as Portuguese.

8 / 10.0 - Returnal
Jun 1, 2021

Returnal is a very difficult title to evaluate and, therefore, to recommend. It's not bad — on the contrary, it's addictive, beautifully crafted, has controls bordering on perfection, and sublimely leverages the PS5's next-gen features. But its cruel game design is for few; most players will become discouraged and abandon the game along the way. If you like roguelikes, enjoy a good challenge and have unwavering persistence, I definitely recommend Returnal. But if you're one of those people who doesn't like the mechanics of starting over hundreds of times with little progress between the runs, you better move on.

Aluna: Sentinel of the Shards manages to bring a mostly positive experience, mainly due to the great narrative baggage inherited from comic books and the cultural richness of Mesoamerica during the colonization period. The feeling of a plot with the potential to present better results is notorious, due to the lack of side missions to expand and detail the universe presented here to the player. For an initial game that seeks to reach an audience that is not necessarily integrated with the comic book universe, it deserved a little more work in this regard. Still, in the end, the title is able to entertain, especially Diablo fans.

9 / 10.0 - Moss
May 30, 2021

Moss reminded me that fear is an understandable feeling in the face of the unknown, but that bravery takes us beyond what we expected when we considered ourselves so small and powerless in the face of everything, even more so when we can count on fellow travelers who are there for support and teach us valuable lessons in overcoming our trials.

5.5 / 10.0 - Jin Conception
May 29, 2021

Jin Conception is certainly a whirlwind of feelings. While the combat is very well done and the mechanics of social deduction instigates curiosity, the numerous bugs and wrong decisions in the game design make it tiring, frustrating and disappointing. There is a potential hidden in the midst of the problems that appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel. At the moment, it is just an RPG that delivers an experience of the nostalgic games of the 16-bit era, but in a mediocre way.

6.5 / 10.0 - Rust
May 28, 2021

Rust Console Edition is not for everyone. On the one hand, there's no tutorial, the visuals aren't flashy and the gameplay is relatively slow, most of its parts are just modest and uninviting. On the other hand, if the player enjoys the survival genre and sees the package as a whole, the game provides exciting and fun runs. Future updates may change this picture, but for now, the title serves only a small niche in the market.

8 / 10.0 - Days Gone
May 28, 2021

Days Gone is a good action game in which the player must deal with hordes of zombies and try to survive, managing their inventory as much as possible. Although its history and gameplay are generic, its technical performance on the PC is commendable, and it is worth checking out for those who like action games.
