7 / 10.0 - Ikai
Apr 18, 2022

Ikai is a horror game with a solid atmosphere and that's its main strength. Unfortunately, its tendency to jumpscare and poorly implemented puzzles cause the game to lose its momentum. Because of this, much of the gameplay feels more like an inconvenience than essential to the experience. Even so, fans of the genre will probably enjoy it a lot.

Doukyuusei: Bangin’ Summer is an interesting classic game, especially for its historical value. Though its story has sexist elements that may annoy some players and the management aspect is too restrictive, it's worth diving into this work. It is especially recommended for people interested in knowing a little more of a genre with such a major influence in Japan.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga really is the biggest LEGO game ever made. One of its highlights, besides the humor and gameplay, is the exploration that's more engaging than ever, prolonging our journey through this universe for an immeasurable amount of hours finding out things even the most hardcore fan of the franchise may have forgotten. If you never had a LEGO game experience before, this is the best place to start.

6.5 / 10.0 - Insurmountable
Apr 15, 2022

Insurmountable combines diverse features to create an experience that is both meditative and tense. Guiding a climber to the top of mountains is an interesting activity, mainly because of the different mechanics, such as managing vital resources and assembling routes. However, the experience is compromised by offering very limited diversity of content, which makes runs too similar to each other too quickly. The new features of the 2.0 update help to alleviate the problems, but they are not enough to solve the many negative issues. In the end, Insurmountable is a creative adventure, but one that takes patience.

7 / 10.0 - Agent Intercept
Apr 15, 2022

Agent Intercept could offer much more than it actually delivered without having to go very far. A greater variety of missions and environments would already be able to entertain the player much more. Still, for those who enjoy being behind the wheel of a relentless machine, no matter the size of the task, they will entertain themselves for a few hours in a very honest way.

7.5 / 10.0 - Sephonie
Apr 14, 2022

Sephonie is a game that succeeds in making non-punitive decisions for the player. What could be a frustrating experience becomes a relaxing and fun activity. However, this does not make it exempt from criticism, especially in platform sessions. The rich biodiversity draws attention for its creativity and excellent description of the species. This makes the environment more alive and rich, giving more pleasure to explore the scenarios for new living beings. Sephonie may have its problems, but it's included in the selection of those good games to pass the time.

8.5 / 10.0 - MLB The Show 22
Apr 14, 2022

MLB The Show 22 bets on the “don't change a winning team” motto. That's not a bad thing, as it brings a generous amount of content for online and offline fun, but the co-op glitch can cut off the potential of what had to be one of the most thought-provoking mode. As much as the lack of our language also makes it difficult to understand a series of acronyms, expressions and jargon, it is really worth giving a chance to get to know this sport better.

Aztech Forgotten Gods is a simple and straight-to-the-point title that manages to thrill throughout its journey. The dynamic of short story snippets interspersed with frantic combat is efficient to entertain and maintain a pleasant game rhythm. The controls make the first combats confusing and it takes some getting used to, but the qualities stand out throughout the story, not making the experience frustrating.

8 / 10.0 - Coromon
Apr 12, 2022

Strictly following the feat of your inspirations can prove to be a double-edged sword, but in Coromon's case, the mix of nostalgic formula with punctual additions works too well to be ignore. In the end, the reality is that the adventure through Velua may not be as bright as the sun (or its great reference), but it doesn't stop being fun. And that cannot be overlooked.

Lost Judgment - The Kaito Files stands out as an extremely welcome revisitation that introduces us to a very interesting character who, unfortunately, ends up being sidelined to the detriment of the titular main character, with an agile plot worthy of the franchise.

8 / 10.0 - Aeterna Noctis
Apr 8, 2022

Undoubtedly, Aeterna Noctis is one of the best metroidvanias today. Its biggest highlight is due to the rich mythology that was created for the game, along with a gameplay that is both challenging and rewarding. A sure recommendation only for long-time veterans of the genre.

Keeping the traditional Borderlands mechanics, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands innovates enough to deliver an adventure with challenges and content to enjoy for a long time. The mixture of firearms with magic resulted in a very fun gameplay full of possibilities.

9 / 10.0 - Slipstream
Apr 6, 2022

Slipstream used a well-balanced mix of dynamic gameplay and “retro HD” style to create a very competent experience. It's a delight to choose a car and just speed along the tracks, as if we're on a road trip, listening to our favorite cassette tape. If you like a good arcade game, you'll feel right at home with this title.

Valley of the Dead: MalnaZidos is one of the worst experiences I ever had with videogames. The gameplay is bad in every possible way, the story is badly told, and the bugs make the experience unbearable. The few qualities [the game has] are the cutscenes and the possibility to see different points-of-view to the story through the perspective of other characters — which is also underexplored. If you're interested in the plot, it'd be better to invest yourself into one of the other [MalnaZidos] media available.

7.5 / 10.0 - Imp Of The Sun
Apr 2, 2022

Imp of the Sun has a friendly and even childlike face, but behind it we have a game with a satisfying level of challenge, surrounded by beautiful visuals and a great reward upon completion. It's not memorable at all, but it earns its place in the sun among today's good platform titles.

8 / 10.0 - Weird West
Mar 31, 2022

The player's encouragement to look for creative ways to solve the problems that arise along the way, along with the engaging narrative that encourages you to go to the end of the story to know how this fable will end, are the main merits of Weird West. The ramifications of the narrative are a strong stimulus for us to return to this world more often to see what else can happen, and what new surprises are waiting for us. I can't wait to see what awaits me on a new tour of this dark western.

9 / 10.0 - Ghostwire: Tokyo
Mar 31, 2022

With a unique setting and good ideas, Ghostwire: Tokyo manages to deliver an exciting, fun and very well produced adventure. Exploring the Japanese capital is a delight as we always have quests, battles and explorations to tackle and enjoy. The main story works well and offers an experience with elements of action and horror. Points such as backgrounds and lighting effects are visually impeccable, as are the game mechanics, all solid and interesting. If it weren't for the somewhat repetitive combat and modest use of terror, the game would be a strong contender for GOTY. Even so, we have an excellent and peculiar suggestion for the library of those who enjoy action and adventure games.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is just a port and nothing more, limiting itself to bringing the same source content, with one or another slight addition. That doesn't make the game bad, but at certain moments it feels like it stopped in time, especially the visuals. Still, it manages to offer good fighting mechanics, being attractive to fans of the genre and the series.

Dawn of the Monsters is undeniably fun, even if it is a bit repetitive. The charm of the “Japanese comics” in motion is irresistible, overlapping the gameplay rhythm, which drags on at certain moments. And it's always nice to control a giant and powerful creature to beat up other monsters, creating our own movie in imagination.

Syberia: The World Before is a fascinating point-and-click. With breathtaking ambient designs and a story that highlights the horrors of war and hatred, it's a title that's worth diving into. Though there are a few small issues, I believe they do not diminish the worth of this work which definitely left me intrigued to also check its predecessors.
