Judgment is an excellent spinoff, with an intriguing script, striking characters, a fun combat system and an immense amount of content, as traditional in the Yakuza series. In addition, it introduces new mechanics that, despite not shining as much, differentiate it from other games in the series. The game is fun and can provide you with hundreds of hours of entertainment, and my caveats are the lack of Brazilian Portuguese localization and some mechanics that could be revised. Technically the game is very well polished and the remastered version, despite being visually very similar to the original, is advantageous for the accompanying DLC.

I strongly recommend Luna to children and all those who punish themselves for small mistakes, so that they learn to embrace the learnings of our stories and the cyclical changes in life that are inevitable, but most of the times positive.

Outer Wilds is an immersive space exploration experience that oozes originality. Its vibrant world design works as a great puzzle full of beauty and charm that always aims to stimulate the player's curiosity, while transmitting the fear of the new and the inhospitable. Even with occasional failures, here we have an experience marked by creative excellence that exposes the true concept of freedom in electronic games.

Resident Evil Village is a reference to the horror genre and an important milestone for the series in its 25th anniversary celebrations. Capcom first-person gameplay remains a wise decision, bringing gameplay and storytelling together in an excellent way. The main inspiration is the older brother, Resident Evil 4, with mechanics, characters and quality that make Village a kind of spiritual successor to one of the most revered games in the franchise. A must-have title for Resident Evil fans.

Curse of the Dead Gods ignores its narrative scope and does not deepen its story, but it is through a series of interesting and stable mechanics, level design and a well-built atmosphere that it surprises and becomes truly rewarding.

Battle Axe manages to communicate with the language of a nostalgic era in which video games were simple and uncompromising, with a cliché adventure that already does more than enough to provide electronic entertainment. Its presentation in pixel art, sounds and music easily transport us to a time when our only goal was just to end the game with an invitation to play all over again. It lives up to the term 'Nostalgic'.

Gravity Heroes gets it right in the action dose, very well accompanied by a neat visual composition and a striking soundtrack. Its content may be short for lonely players, but with the right group of people, the game modes can guarantee hours of fun and adrenaline.

Touhou Hyouibana ~ Antinomy of Common Flowers is a title that can be nice, but it does not prove to be very friendly for those who do not follow the saga of the characters. As a fighting game, its mechanics and dynamism can both cause strangeness and can also be quite inviting for those who do not want such an intense experience with this genre.

Rain on Your Parade is an extremely fun and playful cloud simulator, excellent to be played with children. It will cause laughter in all types of players, be it casual with little contact with the gamer universe, or that hardcore player who will understand all subtle (and less so) references to the gaming industry itself. After all, who doesn't like to cause a good deal of confusion? Or raining coffee?

Mandatory for fans and recommended for sports lovers, MLB The Show 21 features a competent and fun digital version of the baseball game. The visuals are beautiful, the gameplay is good and very customizable and we have many ways to play. In particular, the Diamond Dynasty and Road to the Show options are engaging and well-built. We will still have to wait to see how the franchise will evolve in the new generation of video games, but until then the players will be well served.

Astro Aqua Kitty is an apparently unpretentious title that won me over for its quality and addictive gameplay. At one point, I didn't even care about the story anymore, focusing my attention on exploring every corner of the different stages of the game just to make my submarine more and more perfect. A different and engaging shoot ‘em up.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 ... envelops you with its dark and melancholy fantasy atmosphere. The plot may be simple, but the way of telling the story has a great impact - it is difficult not to feel uncomfortable with the twists and turns provided by different points of view. As an action RPG, NieR is competent and offers good moments of exploration and combat, but some issues, such as limited and constantly repeated content, compromise the experience. The countless improvements in visuals and mechanics make the game more palatable, but dubious design decisions remain untouched. In the end, NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… is a title full of imperfections which requires a lot of dedication, however the journey is worth it.

Atelier Mysterious Trilogy DX is the lowest point of the franchise. While Lydie & Suelle present a better structured game, the first two try to experiment with the formula, but end up making problematic design decisions. Firism, in particular, has a nasty bug that can prevent the player from taking the final exam. Fans of the series are likely to have fun with the titles in their own way, but the new edition is also not justified for those who originally played the trilogy.

Considering the competitive market and the large number of similar options, Sniper Ships: Shoot'em Up on Rails is overshadowed by failing to present relevant highlights and qualities. The game works well, has cool visuals and a soundtrack with potential, but these few positive points are sabotaged by the exaggerated difficulty and the absence of several basic elements. If you don't really like the genre, play at your own risk.

Smelter dares to mix 2D action and real-time strategy in an interesting but slightly unbalanced adventure. The highlight is in the platform sections, which have creative and intense challenges - it is fun to control Eva, mainly because of her agility and diversity of skills. The real-time strategy segments turn out to be extremely limited, adding little to the overall experience. Furthermore, the setting captivates with visuals and music inspired by the 16-bit era, but Eva's story and participation is irrelevant. In the end, Smelter is an inventive experience that offers fun in its strengths.

Oddworld: Soulstorm gives us the impression of being a PS1 game running on a PS4 or PS5. Despite the interesting story and beautiful graphics, it is repetitive, tiring, dated and with inaccurate gameplay that makes some challenges more difficult than it really needed to be. Crafting and rescue systems don't work very well either. For older fans of the franchise, and anyone who added to the PS5 library on PS Plus, it's worth a try. For those who want to have a good platform experience, skip it.

Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight is certainly an interesting journey. It is notable that there is considerable technical capacity and willingness behind the game, but they were not enough to make a good product. The game impresses by the look, but the lack of practical challenge puts it in a kind of limbo between boredom and curiosity.

Scythe: Digital Edition is one of the best digital translations of a board game that I had the opportunity to try. Having contact with its original version obviously helped me when I was transported to dystopian Europe in the 1920s and also helped me to see how well the adaptation of Asmodee Games was done. Veterans will miss moving real pieces, counting pennies and even gathering everything together after playing, but I guarantee they will agree with me that the quality has remained in the digital version of this excellent game. Obviously it does not replace the charm of the original game, but it is a great alternative to play with friends.

Everhood is creative, precise, unique and engaging. It is refreshing to see a title experiment so much throughout its proposal and still deliver a harmonious and coherent final product. Although the soundtrack and the combat system are the highlights when analyzed individually, all the elements present here deserve praise. So, don't be fooled: here is an RPG that, although unconventional, deserves to be played by every fan of the genre, especially those who are not afraid of experiences that encourage thinking outside the box.

Even with simple gameplay and a small variety of game modes, Islanders manages to present a pleasant puzzle that will make you relax during the quick matches. The visuals and the soundtrack take you into these small worlds and help you forget about problems at least for a moment. The difficulty, that is high in some islands, is not a problem, since the progression will depend on what you learned in previous moves and on the chosen strategy. In the end, Islanders is an excellent option to play in short moments of rest.
