Despite the regrets, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a solid experience within the standards of the franchise. Without proposing to innovate, as happened in Origins, it managed to merge the implementations made by the modern iterations of the franchise with several of the iconic characteristics of the most classic ones, only revised within a new context, making a safe game in relation to the delivered content. In the end, Eivor's adventure is a very consistent entry into the world of Assassin's Creed.

Despite the great responsibility to maintain the quality of the franchise, Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory managed to deliver a great experience. Its rhythmic proposal unites the rich and stylish universe of KH with fun musical mechanics with praise. Even though not all songs are amazing, the game is a must for fans of the series and for rhythm games enthusiasts.

7.5 / 10.0 - The Pathless
Nov 20, 2020

The Pathless wraps you with its agile mechanics and a sense of freedom. It is ecstatic to explore the world as the Huntress, who jumps and runs with speed and style while shooting arrows at targets. Progression is free and the vast settings have a lot of puzzles and story context, but the limited variety gets tiring after a while. The visuals, the music and the ambiance create an adventure with a contemplative feel, however the simplicity of many aspects is uncomfortable. In the end, The Pathless offers a unique, if not very memorable, journey.

It is rare to see a title that is composed of so many quality elements. Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is a great action and simulation game that put several aspects together in one package: an immersive adventure, beautiful visuals, fun gameplay and many challenges and secrets to explore. Although some little things could have been better worked out, this Japanese adventure is a must for your library.

PAW Patrol: Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay is a simple game that fulfills its main objective: entertaining children. Don't expect a high level of difficulty or long, well-crafted stages. What matters here is to ensure the fun of the little ones.

8.5 / 10.0 - Bugsnax
Nov 13, 2020

Bugsnax has a wonderful story and adorable characters that will make you feel happy and sentimental all the time, especially when incorporating important themes like mental health, togetherness and friendship. It is too entertaining and intriguing to give up in the middle of the campaign, even if it is necessary to ignore its repetitive gameplay and its frequent and irritating loading screens. Ultimately, capturing creatures that are half insect, half snack nourishes life with joy and good feelings, however bizarre it may seem.

7 / 10.0 - Breakpoint
Nov 12, 2020

Breakpoint is a simple title focused on defeating endless waves of enemies in search of the highest score possible. For this, the player has at his disposal several different weapons and abilities, all well implemented and fun to use. Although it has only one game mode, it is a good choice for those who enjoy dynamic and challenging matches.

Two Point Hospital is one of those special games that have the potential to make the player lose track of the time when wrapped in their magic circle. This spiritual successor to the Theme Hospital series shows that creating and managing a hospital franchise is much more fun than a first glance might dare to realize, thanks to light themes, fun gameplay, fair challenges and an excellent soundtrack.

8 / 10.0 - DiRT 5

DiRT 5 has slight flaws, but it will still give you hours of adrenaline with its huge variety of tracks and weather conditions. Creating unusual and improbable layouts is also a interesting activity.

Watch Dogs: Legion offers a fun adventure with its new gameplay mechanic that allows building a team that best suits the player's style. The campaign starts majestically, but soon gets lost in the repetition of missions, and the villains have their potential wasted. With the exception of the storyline that did not meet expectations, Legion manages to establish itself as the best game in the franchise.

Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues proves to be an excellent option for those who enjoy the good old beat ‘em up genre. Up to two players locally will have an extensive campaign ahead, a well-designed character progression system, and a fun and fluid combat mechanic. Those who liked Cobra Kai will find a series of references to the universe of Karate Kid. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales stands out for further highlighting one of the best PS4 games in an excellent expansion of the universe created by Insomniac in 2018. What was already good has been maintained and certain features have been improved. With impeccable presentation and an excellent adventure, its only problem is still being at the mercy of its predecessor when it comes to innovation.

Supermarket Shriek is an indie with a simple and fun proposal. Its controls can give a headache to more inexperienced players, but the title is still worth playing with two or more people.

Behind a cover that appears to be a cartoonish and childlike title, we have a great turn-based strategy game, ideal for those looking for a more casual experience. Without many peculiarities that mark other titles in this genre, such as RPG elements, equipment efficiency, armor durability, among other things, what we have here is a game with a fairly honest challenge level and simple gameplay, to please even the most enthusiastic Cybertron fans.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope maintains the strengths and weaknesses of its predecessor, not daring to go much further. The new adjustments, such as the presence of alerts in the QTEs, the practically impeccable translation into Portuguese and the use of familar themes of witches and occult are interesting, but small. Despite this modest claim, the title fulfills its purpose and is an excellent horror game that represents the genre well, with a plot that offers good doses of tension and mystery to explore.

The most important thing in a game is to be fun and engaging. Onee Chanbara Origin manages to fulfill this mission with praise, delivering a dynamic and full-featured hack and slash adventure. The original style brought by the remake and its good gameplay make every fight a great experience. Although it fails on some important points, the end result is a must-have title for fans of the genre and players who enjoy a lot of action.

7 / 10.0 - Uppers
Nov 2, 2020

In general, Uppers is a beat ‘em up whose combat is quite fun, but small technical defects end up weakening the experience. It is still worth checking out for enthusiasts of the genre since the combat offers good variety and exaggerated blows, but it does not stand out in comparison to what already exists in the market.

6 / 10.0 - A Tale of Paper
Oct 31, 2020

A Tale of Paper explores the depths and meanings of human life in a subtle way through a sweet and loving story with an empathetic and passionate character who sees himself in the form of origami to present creative and original mechanics. The atmosphere and the minimalist soundtrack expands a narrative for a stunning visual Paradise. Although brief and superficial, this paper trip is still satisfying. Unfortunately the erasures exposed in its playable structure are almost incorrigible and put the title in an adverse situation. It is a simple journey, without many challenges and with problematic physics, but it has the power to bring light through the darkness.

8 / 10.0 - Carto
Oct 30, 2020

Carto captivates with its mix of inventive puzzles and relaxing pacing. The main concept of manipulating the map to solve puzzles and tasks is quite interesting, and various situations explore it in creative ways. The challenges are accessible, but there are sections with obscure solutions or steps that hinder progress a little. The chill tone is reinforced with a colorful universe reminiscent of an illustrated book, simple text and diverse themes approached with humor, making exploration a delight. In the end, Carto is a charming and different adventure that is worth checking out.

8.5 / 10.0 - ScourgeBringer
Oct 29, 2020

With a well elaborated artistic set, ScourgeBringer becomes one of the best roguelites available today. It tries to slowly reward players and is ideal for those who have more patience for trial and error mechanics. After a period of early access, which certainly contributed a lot to the current polish, this game is a recommendation both for enthusiasts and newcomers to the genre.
