8.5 / 10.0 - WarioWare: Move It!
Nov 8, 2023

WarioWare: Move It! is the further crystallisation of a series that makes fun and immediacy its beating heart. The madness and numerous micro-games within the adventure of Wario and co. succeed in making anyone spend dozens and dozens of carefree hours. Should you have someone with whom you can take on the wacky challenges created by Intelligent Systems, WarioWare: Move It! is undoubtedly a must buy for Nintendo Switch.

8.3 / 10.0 - EA Sports WRC
Nov 6, 2023

EA Sports WRC is a title that brings the world's premier rally competition back to the place it deserves in the world of video games. It is a game reminiscent of the gameplay of the Dirt saga, but adding more realism to the behaviour of the cars, so that purists will have a title in line with what they are looking for, without sacrificing those who prefer a more balanced (and also much more arcade-like) experience. Sure, EA Sports WRC doesn't have graphics as stunning as some of Codemasters' other titles, but the gameplay is a lot of fun and the Moments mode, which revisits great situations from WRC's past, is what users have long wanted in titles of this type.

Lords of the Fallen is an imperfect title, with numerous aspects that could have rendered it better, but it is still one of the most interesting soulslike games around. Some of the innovations introduced in this title make for a first run with great interest and, were it not for the technical problems, Lords of the Fallen could have aimed even higher.

7.5 / 10.0 - Jusant
Nov 5, 2023

Jusant is a poetic and inspired title: on this lonely journey, our task is to keep climbing to reach the clouds, in the hope of finding a remedy for the drought. DON'T NOD proves once again that it has a way with music and atmosphere. There is no shortage of ideas, but this puzzle game, while original, does not quite meet its challenge due to a sometimes wooden gameplay, a less than excellent technical compartment and a storyline that runs out all too soon.

The Talos Principle 2 takes Croteam's series to new horizons, both in terms of puzzles and the narrative and philosophical questions it proposes to players. The team led by Mario Kotlar and Verena Kyratzes has been able to outdo themselves, and has given us a title that goes beyond the very concept of a game. Love it, and don't deprive yourself of it.

FM24 is the usual, very solid chapter in the world's most famous and successful managerial series. This new chapter, more a 2.0 version of the previous title in truth, retains all the elements that make the managerial experience great: if you're a football fan and can't wait to put yourself to the test, here's the ideal game, again.

7.8 / 10.0 - Cities: Skylines 2
Oct 31, 2023

Although there are no major revolutions compared to the first chapter, or perhaps because of this, it can already be said that Cities Skylines II is a worthy heir to its predecessor, and in the future, with the release of the ever-present expansions and some technical adjustments it may even surpass the first Cities. In any case, the base created by Colossal Order is solid, the gameplay is addictive, and it is definitely worth a try.

True, many gamers expected more - and perhaps deserved more. But Konami's operation has not only brought back to our screens some immortal masterpieces that would otherwise be unrecoverable, or almost, but has also done exactly what was promised: to include the original games in a collection that does not want and did not want to be anything more. Even though the first MGS in particular has aged in its dynamics and controls, we are still faced with a collection of titles that made history in the medium, whose solidity is still intact today. Purchased recommendation? Only in two cases: if you're a die-hard fan who can't do without the series, or if, bearing in mind the enormous amount of time that has passed, you're ready to immerse yourself in some healthy retrogaming.

9 / 10.0 - Alan Wake 2
Oct 26, 2023

Alan Wake 2 is the comeback that all fans were waiting for and deserved. After thirteen long years of waiting Remedy has been able to build a renewed and in-depth title, rejuvenating in every part a project that had long been missing from the videogame industry landscape. Those who loved the first chapter should therefore not miss the writer's new interaction, which, despite some minor technical and progression imperfections in the environments, manages to carve out a place for itself among the exponents of the genre.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 doesn't represent the huge leap in quality that some expected, but it remains a great sequel: the game maintains the solid foundations of the two titles before it, and brings Peter and Miles together for a simply magnificent adventure. The gameplay has been further expanded with new attacks and abilities, resulting in increasingly varied fights, especially against bosses. It's just a pity for a certain superficiality in the handling of the open world, even if just fluttering through the skyscrapers of New York is still a wonderful experience.

8 / 10.0 - Warm Snow
Oct 25, 2023

Although Warm Snow does not have the same level of quality as other roguelike games, there is plenty to play for hours on end. The combat system gives players freedom during encounters with rewards that offer a deep level of character customisation, in the hope that the next run will last a little longer. This game is a hidden gem, but don't let it stay hidden for too long if you're in the mood for a roguelike.

7.5 / 10.0 - Endless Dungeon
Oct 25, 2023

Endless Dungeon surprises by offering a well thought-out evolution of Dungeon of the Endless. It manages to mix genres and offer multi-faceted gameplay with a certain complexity, but without becoming too heavy or unbearable in co-op. The result is a rogue-lite with a good balance of strategy and action, with a strong tactical touch in single-player and requiring good teamwork and a lot of communication in multiplayer. Either way, it is a game you should try to discover a fresh and innovative game.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is one of the best two-dimensional platformers ever made in the history of video games, and probably the best in the franchise along with the historic Super Mario World. The gameplay constantly surprises, the environments are magnificent, and Nintendo has worked hard to keep the title fresh with its gimmicks and innovations. This is no mere sequel to the New saga, but a fresh start. And also a triumph.

7.4 / 10.0 - Wizard With A Gun
Oct 22, 2023

Wizard with a Gun attempts to innovate the gaming landscape with a rather interesting mixture of genres. Unfortunately, shortcomings in the controls and the handling of the final part of the storyline do not allow it to fully take off. However, should you be looking for an experience to play with a friend, Galvanic Games' first effort could well be for you.

7 / 10.0 - Sonic Superstars
Oct 20, 2023

Sonic Superstars is a platformer that tries to dust off the splendour of the first chapters of Sega's blue hedgehog saga, but some inauspicious level design choices undermine the Tokyo-based production company's intentions. Also to be reviewed is the multiplayer compartment, which deserved more care.

Undoubtedly, Empty Clip Studios did a very good job on the artistic side, restoring this 90s classic with a very clean style that is perfectly faithful to the Gargoyles' animated series. On the other hand, the game is hopelessly outdated in terms of gameplay, structuring itself as a platformer with poor mechanics. All in all, however, it is an enjoyable arcade adventure that will revive the memories of the nostalgic.

8.3 / 10.0 - Sea of Stars
Oct 19, 2023

Sea of Stars is a successful, if not excellent, experiment. The two young protagonists fail to stand out, as does the villain of the tale, but during the journey one meets well-written characters who contribute to an interesting plot. The dynamic turn-based combat system manages to be innovative and keep you engaged without being too repetitive, even if it is not entirely convincing. The art direction is the jewel in the crown of Sabotage Studio's title, thanks to its well-rendered and brightly coloured pixel art. Recommended for those looking for a ‘cozy game’ in which to immerse themselves for some forty hours.

Skull Island: Rise of Kong is a bad title, an obscene glorification of one of cinema's most famous monsters, a video game that is simply unacceptable in every respect. Don't buy it, unless you want to spite yourself or some of your enemies.

7.8 / 10.0 - Scorn
Oct 12, 2023

Scorn is a straightforward work that has no problem showing perverse and crude images. Ebb Software's product is capable of instilling a sense of anguish and unease rarely equalled by other games. The only pity is the absolutely mediocre combat phases and a longevity that is too short, especially for the price at which it is offered.
