Despite the caveats, Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles is, without a doubt, the greatest act of love that NIS America has ever had towards its fans, while also honoring the legacy of Nippon Ichi Software on this side of the globe.

Pups & Purrs Pet Shop has a fun and charming core, with extremely cute peta for us to treat, and some genuinely fun minigames, but it lacks a lot in its repetition, with aimless activities in a way it makes the player wait too long for some actions. Maybe it's a fun experience for a younger audience who won't get so tired of these repetitions and super basic customization, but for the rest it just might be a waste of time.

My experience with Shinobi non Grata was nothing short of satisfying. It made me want to return to Ninja Gaiden via Nintendo Switch Online any day now. Kaina's adventure doesn't feature any original elements, but rather many similarities to legendary titles like Mega Man and Ninja Gaiden, but its gameplay is so fluid that there's no way to not have fun with the game.

To recomend The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is as natural as the magic that runs through its structure. In a narrative that is built with the player, structured by an extremely competent text and supported by an impressive aesthetic, the title proves to be an excellent way for us to reflect on ourselves.

In short, my lack of interest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is completely related to how I have become disconnected from the series. There has been much speculation about whether or not the title has recaptured the essence of Link's adventures, but I feel that we need to ask ourselves that, not the work itself. Objectively, I know that most people will love it, and others will like it. I reserve myself for the minority who got tired of it along the way, while at the same time I pray for a new youth to discover here the charms that I once lost.

I do think that Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara is worth it for a casual player, since it won't suit any pro player who wants a super challenge, but if you just want to relax, or even if it's for kids, it will be very comfortable and welcoming.

AKIBA'S TRIP: Undead & Undressed Director's Cut is a fun game that will please Japanese pop culture fans looking for something fun and straightforward. With a fairly easy-to-use combat system, plenty of additional content including extra missions and alternate routes, and a very short length, it's a game that will be quite entertaining for those looking for something more niche.

10 / 10.0 - Pikmin 4
Jul 30, 2023

Verdict: Pikmin 4 is an excellent game. There is no reason (apart from the price, of course) not to fall in love with PNF-404, Oatchi and the adorable Pikmin.

8.5 / 10.0 - Cross Tails
Jul 20, 2023

Cross Tails is a very polished strategy RPG with surprisingly robust combat and customization systems. With multiple class and skill options to use and a curious conflict, this is an easy recommendation for fans of the genre.

Being a thought-provoking and fun adventure that greatly appeal to the otaku culture, Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE is definitely something I recommend to anyone interested in the genre. As a die-hard Danganronpa fan who thinks the franchise has only grown since its first game, I can safely say that Master Detective Archives: Rain Code carries on that legacy with ease.

I sincerely hope I've managed to convince readers to check out the work. Whether you're a fan of Ace Attorney or not, I believe that Takumi's narrative is so engaging and special that it's extremely difficult to displease anyone. The humor is just right, and the suspense completely engages us from the very first moment, creating one of the most intriguing experiences in gaming media. The ending is a final gift to the player: after a long journey, the answers reward our efforts, and the satisfactory conclusion is only possible because of the effort that went into the work as a whole.

Understanding its limitations and the path this remake wanted to follow, Atelier Marie is an easy recommendation for old-school audiences, being a historical reparation in which players on this side of the globe will finally get their hands on it after 25 years stuck in Japan. For beginners, starting with it may be a good option, but with reservations. Now, for those who have only played the Secret saga, it is a little difficult to recommend it, as its simplicity and the fact that it is more of a simulation than an RPG contrasts with Ryza's games, which may be weird to some players.

While I really enjoyed the first one, and was looking forward to Lost Signals, I never found OXENFREE revolutionary or anything like that, just good. However, the second title kept me engaged from the start, and makes you feel time passing differently. Sometimes faster, sometimes slower, which is a very interesting thing in a game with this theme.

Everybody 1-2 Switch! is clearly an expansion of the idea from the original 1-2 Switch, however, the game bothers me much less. In addition to having much more content, taking away the tech demo look of the original, the game also costs around half the price of its older brother. It's not a revolution in the world of party games and it doesn't convince anyone that all the “hidden” features of the Joy-Cons are sensational (for this purpose, Nintendo Labo continues to be much more surprising in my opinion), but it fulfills its purpose as a party game, which you will open 1 or 2 times a month when some of your friends show up at your house.

8 / 10.0 - Pikmin 2
Jul 6, 2023

If your work is similar to the gameplay of this game, you might be fine, but I don't think it's exactly relaxing. For example, I tried to play after a long day of work, took a shower, had dinner and picked up the console. I found it unbearable. The next morning, already relaxed, I played the same level and it was all smooth sailing, quite enjoyable, because you see things happening, tasks being completed, it's satisfying.

Between all these additions, for me Sonic Origins Plus was a disappointment full of missed opportunities. It's a package packed with content that should have been in the collection since its launch in 2022, but that is only being added 1 year later through paid DLC.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails Into Reverie brings a satisfying conclusion to the Trails saga for those who have been following it for a while. The game has issues with its narrative, but Falcom managed to wrap up some things that needed to be wrapped up.

Despite the uniformity of the experience, as well as the simplicity in several narrative and audiovisual aspects, the games in the Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection feature a good refinement of classic mechanics that should please longtime dungeon crawler fans, while also possessing a unique personality that should be appreciated by this same audience as well. It's worth mentioning that, while challenging, the trilogy's mechanics are quite intuitive, making them a good entry point for RPG fans unfamiliar with this subgenre.

6 / 10.0 - Charade Maniacs
Jun 27, 2023

Charade Manics has some cathartic highs, and I wasn't immune to them: the men, though annoying, are handsome, and the art is eye-catching; the number of routes is also ambitious, and if you're into them, you'll have plenty to enjoy. The songs are also varied and enjoyable to listen to, helping to build the atmosphere, which is another strong point of this experience. Still, the main feeling I associate with this game is "boredom," which somewhat saddens me because of the many ways Charade Maniacs is ambitious: the sheer number of routes, the vastly different story, and the few (but memorable) iconic moments. Overall, I can't really recommend this game easily because of how tiring the experience was for me, but if anything about this story caught your attention, give it a shot.

9 / 10.0 - Pikmin 1
Jun 24, 2023

Without a doubt, the games were ported to those who recently discovered the series and want to delve deeper into its origins. Of course, they'll always be excellent starting points, but I believe the purchase will be made for those who already have experience with the series. Of course, if you ignore everything I've mentioned so far and still buy the game, I believe you'll have one of the best experiences in the genre, and the tiny Pikmin fan community will undoubtedly welcome a new member with open arms!
