[F]or those who have yet to experience this highly addictive combination of tower defense, physics destruction and real time strategy, CastleStorm: Definitive Edition offers a unique game experience that is fun to play solo or with friends, and I highly recommend checking it out.

77 / 100 - Gauntlet
Sep 29, 2014

Overall, Gauntlet was a lot of fun but it still felt like something was missing. Granted it was reminiscent of my own past experiences with the franchise but playing with friends over Skype and Steam wasn't quite the same as hanging out in the living room with four controllers plugged into one console. That said it still evoked the same thrills and competitiveness as before. We fought for treasure, battled for screen control, and raced for crowns and keys. If you have some friends that love to crawl through dungeons or you just want to relive some memories from the past, I'd definitely suggest grabbing a copy or splitting a 4-pack and going on an adventure sometime soon.

87 / 100 - Hyrule Warriors
Sep 29, 2014

Hyrule Warriors surprised me in the best way it possibly could as I expected a decent and enjoyable, but not overly spectacular game, but what I got was the most fun I've had in a game in quite some time.

75 / 100 - Anomaly 2
Sep 25, 2014

As well, the online component suffers from long wait times, but when you get a match, there's a certain satisfaction with being able to outwit another human player or the frustration of being outwitted. I genuinely had a fun time playing and if you're a fan of the tower defense style, I recommend you pick up a copy.

90 / 100 - Forza Horizon 2
Sep 25, 2014

If you are an Xbox One owner and looking for a racing game that is an open world, fun, and has a lot of replayability while being both accessible to beginners and a challenge racing veterans given the number of gameplay options, then you really shouldn't look any further then Forza Horizon 2.

Thank you Triumph, for doing justice to these noble little people and bringing them to the center stage for a grand performance of dancing, singing, and a little bit of blood-letting. Let the games begin!

81 / 100 - Endless Legend
Sep 25, 2014

Daunting to an almost discouraging degree at first, but once you get the hang of it you'll get sucked right in, and afterwards you'll probably need a cooling off period before trying again. But you WILL try again.

80 / 100 - Minimum
Sep 24, 2014

There's very little Minimum does wrong, and quite honestly I really look forward to convincing a few more of my friends to pick it up so I have more excuses to keep playing.

87 / 100 - FIFA 15
Sep 23, 2014

FIFA 14 was an impressive launch game last fall for next generation consoles. With a little more time under their belt the development team have managed to up-the-ante with FIFA 15. While the changes may not be as robust as we have seen in previous installments in the franchise, there is no question FIFA 15 has firmly cemented itself as the best soccer game on the planet.

68 / 100 - Heavy Bullets
Sep 22, 2014

Overall, Heavy Bullets didn't really click with me. While I enjoy the odd FPS and rogue-like game, Heavy Bullets never really managed to grab me like I hoped it would. Do not get me wrong Heavy Bullets is a competent arcade shooter and rogue-like rolled into one. The cheap price is another bonus. Yet there are just a few too many aspects about the game that I didn't find entertaining at all.

68 / 100 - Warframe
Sep 19, 2014

If you're looking for something to pass the time you could definitely pick this game up for free as you just might get a good chunk of time enjoying it, but I would definitely spend your money on a full-fledged title rather than having to pay in a free to play game for all the good bits.

88 / 100 - Destiny
Sep 15, 2014

If Destiny is judged on the game itself without falling victim to the unreachable expectations placed on it then it stands out as an amazing new IP. Never before has a game managed to merge separate genres quite so successfully and despite some of its flaws it does a lot of things right. Counting on the post launch support from Bungie to expand the game world and fine tune the experience I'd venture that most players will keep coming back with smiles on their faces for a long time to come.

87 / 100 - Velocity 2X
Sep 15, 2014

Velocity 2X is the type of game that's extremely difficult to put down once you start. There's little if anything to complain about. Velocity 2X hits the old school game play feel just right, the graphics are stylish and the sound track fits perfectly

Dead Rising 3 is funny, and more importantly a riot to play. New players will enjoy the standard mode while classic players will get their fix in Nightmare Mode. It really is just a shame there are quite a few issues with performance on PC. Let's hope the modding community can work their usual magic with this one.

Simply put, I've been unable to put Curtain Call down. If you enjoy Final Fantasy and rhythm games, I highly suggest you snap up this game and experience some of the best music gaming has to offer.

80 / 100 - NHL 15
Sep 9, 2014

NHL 2015 truly has glimpses of being a fantastic sports title on its own merit, given the improvements in the gameplay mechanics, visuals, physics and even sound. That being said, we have been spoiled to a degree by some outstanding previous versions with all the features and now I find that the series has lost a bit of its lustre given what they cut out to get this one out the door. The omission of key modes really hurts the end product, and in a way it feels like we're stepping back somewhat.

Sadly though, despite its charm, The Last Tinker never manages to break out and leave its mark, instead it settles into an entertaining play that is, ultimately, becomes forgettable.

75 / 100 - Train Fever
Sep 7, 2014

Even though you aren't guided to do anything, you'll easily be kept busy on an ongoing basis, as there's always new cargo to obtain, lines to create, and cities to connect. Even with the frustrating technical issues I've had with the game, I still find myself wanting to create some more transport lines.

Most likely due to the familiarity of the Second Son world I felt comfortable slipping back into it but the pull that kept me playing the first time around just wasn't there the second time. Despite that, however, the story and character of Abigail 'Fetch' Walker still kept me well invested in the game and made it an enjoyable re-visitation.
