The Lord of the Rings: Gollum tries to be a respectful homage to Tolkien’s masterpiece. Unfortunately, it’s expressed through buggy, unpolished, and not very interesting or enjoyable gameplay. Gollum is a fascinating and complex character, but makes a poor protagonist for an action game. Only ravenous fans of Tolkien will want to come near this game, and then only if they have a very high tolerance for crashes, bugs, and disappointment.

I Saw Black Clouds is awful. The story is stupid and confusing. Halfway through the game, you’ll be treated with this bizarre twist completely negating the first half of the story, and then the final half is a rushed mess that ruins anything the first half of the story had built up. The filming is brutally amateurish. I can’t help but think this mess could have been saved by a director who had a better understanding of camera angles, movement and so on. The only redeeming quality is that when you replay the game, you can skip any scenes you’ve previously watched – this will allow you to experience alternative scenes faster. Ultimately, there really is nothing here worth recommending. I Saw Black Clouds so you don’t have to. You’re welcome.

I said it before, but I’ll repeat it – this is the worst baseball game I’ve ever played.

35 / 100 - Devil's Hunt
Sep 17, 2019

A game about the clashing forces of heaven and hell deserves to be far more interesting, if not in gameplay, then at least in story. Devil’s Hunt fails to deliver on both fronts.

Do not, under any circumstances, buy this game in its current state. YIIK is an aggressive yet sleepy-eyed assault on your money and your free time that needs a lot of work.

Contrary to its name, Original Journey is far from an original adventure, offering little to motivate players to see its campaign through.

No70: Eye of Basir is a fractured, short, unrewarding experience that needs to figure out what it is before it says anything more.

35 / 100 - Formula Fusion

As you progress to faster ships, the weaponry becomes less of a problem, since the design of the tracks doesn't make for an enjoyable time anyway and you'll be spending all your energy just trying to avoid walls.

Music VR isn’t so much a game as it’s more of a music visualizer with a focus on letting you experience your music in a way you haven’t before.

Canu Arts decided to utilize the fixed camera to bring about that sense of dread which would accompany exploration in the early Resident Evil games, but it’s that same fixed camera that is going to kill you the most.

Unfortunately, single-player does not hold up well on its own as it’s an empty and dry attempt to create a story from gameplay that is repetitive and uneventful.

Your bird's inability to remain at a standstill without shoving his face into a wall is a pathetic attempt to engage the player with meaningful gameplay.

35 / 100 - Animal Gods
Oct 29, 2015

Basically, this game has its heart in the right place, but could not realize its potential. Still Games seemed to be more concerned about telling a story and incorporated gameplay as an afterthought, but ended up failing to deliver at both. It's a tedious game that this title may have been served best as a cheaper iOS game for those boring bus rides to and from work.

35 / 100 - Zombeer
Feb 3, 2015

If you are truly the ultimate zombie fan and need to play/watch/read everything there is about zombies, get Zombeer. To everyone else, don't bother. You'll only be sorely disappointed by a lackluster product that is definitely not worth the $10.99 they are charging on Steam. I hate to speak poorly of work someone else definitely put time into, but it's just not worth what they're asking.

35 / 100 - LA Cops

If you have $15 burning a hole in your pocket there are plenty of better ways to spend it than wasting it on LA Cops. You might dig the groovy aesthetic for a short while but inevitably you'll walk away either bored or frustrated. Maybe just keep in mind you can get the original Hotline Miami for even less and have a lot more fun.

35 / 100 - Goat Simulator

Goat Simulator is quite easily one of the more forgettable games I have played in recent memory. Aside from some cheap laughs and managing to somehow become an internet cultural phenomenon, this goat game offers up little in terms of any substance.
