Hades Reviews
Hades is the new standard by which we measure roguelites. A stunningly modern narrative scenario told in bitesize morsels perfectly designed around roguelites, it also manages to have infinitely replayable combat full of constantly changing moves and powers. It demands your skill and a lot of your time, but it rewards you by providing meaning to the grind.
This is definitely a first for me, I am reviewing a game for the second time for the same website. Weird isn’t it? I gave Hades a five out of five on the Nintendo Switch and all I can say is that the god-based, relationship simulator rogue-lite is even better. What score do I give it now then, a six out of five? It’s certainly worth it. Welcome to my Hades PlayStation 5 review.
Hades is one of the best rogue-like games ever; with great music, stylish art design and smooth gameplay.

Hades has perfected several elements of the rogue-like genre and does a banging job on the rest. It is, by far, the best game of its type that I’ve played. But don’t let the words “rogue-like” scare you off – it is made in such a way that it is appealing to both fans and non-fans of the genre alike. Hades is a game I firmly believe anyone even remotely interested should play. I guarantee that you won’t regret your time in The Underworld.
With so many videogames that are totally forgotten a few weeks after their release, it's great to have a title like Hades which has been among the best games of every year since 2018 when it first came out in early access and the home console version continues this winning streak.

So if you came into this wondering if the Hades port is worth a second look, I could not recommend it enough. The charm, character, and challenging gameplay that made it an instant hit last year gives it more than enough appeal to warrant a second go.
Hades is a masterpiece with its extremely high level of sound, gameplay, everything is exceptional. A title you absolutely must have, an incredible piece of work. Unmissable!

A truly remarkable rogue-lite with the signature Supergiant Games’ touch, Hades is a blessing of a game that everyone should be dying to play.
Hades is a triumph from Supergiant Games, and despite losing the charm of portable play from the Switch, seeing it all play out in glorious 4K is more than worth the trade-off. Hades is the culmination of the lessons learned from the Supergiant's previous releases, resulting in a masterful effort that will appeal even to players who aren't fans of the genre.
Hades is the best rogue-lite I have played to-date. It manages to weave a great story through its run-based gameplay effortlessly, and its combat is an absolute blast. More than anything, though, it manages to stay engaging at high hour counts, which is something I cannot say for most singleplayer games I have played.
Hades is a lesson in taking the best of a number of genres and combining them into a smooth, slick gaming experience that players will be eager to return to.
Hades has a great story, awesome gameplay and a well-crafted audiovisual. This is exactly what the Rogue-like games genre should look like.

Hades is an example of a masterfully designed cohesive package. Its few flaws only manage to surface because of how much the game expects you to play it. Its greatness remains untarnished because you’ll want to. Zeus owns the sky, and Poseidon the sea. Well, eat it Olympus. Hades has a kick-ass game.
Overall, Hades slays expectations, providing an immersive, rogue-like experience filled with endless hours of gameplay. While dungeon crawling may not be for everyone, it is a well-designed and well-polished game for those who love it. Each run offers a unique experience, and the progression from meek to a godly warrior is enjoyable. Between the unique narrative, the vibrant colors and artwork, and the smooth gameplay, dying repeatedly has never felt so good.
Hades is a really diverse roguelike and the most motivating one that I've played so far!

Despite how long I’ve been ranting here, there’s plenty more I could say about Hades. But honestly, I feel it’s best you discover for yourself why I’m so enamored of Supergiant’s latest adventure. Though the game isn’t quite perfect, it truly earned the accolades it’s been receiving. And honestly, if they decide to implement some additional content later on, most of my complaints would be rendered moot. This is honestly my favorite game yet by Supergiant Games, and easily one of my favorite indies of 2020. If you love rogue and need something new to enjoy, be sure to put this one on your wishlist.
I honestly could go on about all of the reasons why Hades is so incredibly good for another 1500 words. There is so much to unpack and explore here, but at a certain point you’re better served by just playing the damn thing yourself. Hades is Supergiant at it’s pinnacle. It is the culmination of a decade’s worth of buildup to an unparalleled experience that leverages all of their expertise, and it exemplifies the possibilities of what early access cycles can be with a supportive community and a responsive, talented team of creators. It feels as though everything Supergiant has made prior has been rehearsal for this triumphant performance, but better still, it shows the heights they’re capable of and leaves you with the strong impression that this is just the beginning of what they have in store. Don’t wait for a sale, don’t wait on Hades for any reason; if you are even remotely interested, you absolutely have to play it right away, and I promise you will not regret it.
Hades is a roguelike hack and slash game with a cartoon graphics that will catch you from the first minute due to its addictive gameplay.

If you’ve only been hearing about Hades, you’re doing yourself a disservice by not playing it. The gameplay is addicting and full of variety, and the Greek mythology theme is incredibly enticing. With great performances, fantastic music and an incredible art style, Hades easily ranks high among the best of 2020.
Utilizing the experience gained from its previous projects, Supergiant delivers its best game yet.
