It takes some practice and deep breathing exercises, but getting into Fuser's rhythm is worth the effort. You can become a pro DJ without really knowing what you're doing.

In a year in which festivals have gone extinct, Fuser brings them back in a major, digital way. While the gameplay can be quite difficult to master, it is really fun to mix and match the many different music styles. It would've been nice if the progression system was better though.

FUSER is to DJ games what Guitar Hero was to guitar games: an enjoyable experience with a good music selection. But here you'll find a way more rich, deeper gameplay, and a very exigent one. Start playing FUSER it's easy, but dominate it needs a lot of time. The good part is, whatever discs you throw to the mix, you're gonna love the sound...

Fuser is, frankly, a staggering technological achievement. The game takes the act of making music, an incredibly challenging thing to accomplish, and practically trivialises it. You don't need to have any kind of prior knowledge to make meaningful music with this title. The game walks you through everything with a perfect learning curve and near-limitless flexibility. It remains to be seen if it will court a large enough player base to confirm its existence, but as it currently stands, this title is yet another unexpected jolt of inspiration for the rhythm game genre, which even just a few years ago looked all but dead. Between the brilliance of rhythm titles in VR and now Fuser, the future is bright indeed.

FUSER is all about player creativity and freedom. It's less focused on technical recitation of precise button presses and more on how in the groove you can get yourself. For decades, Harmonix has been harnessing the power of music and delivering a feeling of super stardom to players. FUSER puts that directly into the players' hands more than any game before it. Even with a PS5 and next-gen games in hand, I can't turn the music off. If you yearn for the days of the plastic instrument revolution, just without all that junk taking up space, FUSER will put you as close to the stage as any music game possibly can.

Fuser feels like a natural evolution for Harmonix and, scoring system aside, lets players take control of the music more than ever before.

Fuser is a game that, strangely, reminds me more of Against White AWalls, than Rock Band. It’s a genre mashing experience that bursts out of the screen, borrowing ideas where ever it needs to but rarely confining itself to the preconceptions we might have from another rhythm game. Once you’ve pushed past the tutorials and evolved your own style, Fuser reveals it’s real intent, music. Fuser is the nearest Harmonix has come to present a title that is all about creating your own sound, stepping up on stage and discovering what works. As you mater your art, Fuser rewards you with more than simple cosmetics because it’s just a joy to play. grab Fuser if you’re ready to fend off the dreary autumn blues with a burst of colour and a blast of bass to boot.

I never would’ve thought a game like Fuser could win me over the way it did thanks to its incredible sounds that ultimately match the player’s sound. That’s precisely the beauty of this game, because it isn’t tied to only one music track, but it allows to create something that is pleasant and electrifying firstly to the player and also the everybody else. If the title were to add some further elements, it could easily become a virtually immortal game. Of course, the game won’t turn you into the new Martin Garrix, but I assure you it will entertain you for many hours to come.

Fuser is an amazingly accessible music mixing tool that will shine in the hands of aspiring DJs using the Freestyle mode. Sadly, many of its old-fashioned game design elements undermine the core of the experience.

Fuser is a great little program that serves as an introduction to the art of DJing. It's just not much of a game. So think about this as purchasing entry-level DJ software, and as entry-level DJ software, it's pretty good. It's never going to be as powerful as dedicated DJ software, but if you just want to have a bit of a DJ fantasy then Fuser will give you just that.

As a joyous celebration of music, Fuser elevates the rhythm genre to a whole new level where gameplay can remain as addictive as ever, but now players are encouraged to explore the tools at hand and create something entirely new. Once you find your groove, it's almost impossible not to get absorbed into a one-person rave – dancing along to the mix you've created. Fuser doesn't just revitalise the rhythm genre, it gives it a whole new style.

An interesting game that makes mashing together different songs almost effortless, Fuser lacks a gameplay hook to keep you coming back.

FUSER is a real virtual DJ experience, capable of giving us great freedom in creating our songs. It mainly shines in the modes where we aren't limited by specific demands like during the Campaign, but we would have liked more variety in the electro music selection, with genres like dubstep and hardstyle basically missing at launch.

Fuser is a weird little thing that has fantastic moments turn into awful ones at the drop of a beat. But when the awful moments are still incredibly fun, does it really matter? If you don't take Fuser too seriously, it could be one of the best rhythm games out there.

Fuser is perfect when you can play freely with the console, creating sono exaggerate mashup. Unfortunately, the rhythm is broken by strange requests, by the point system and objectives.

Fuser lets you become a DJ from the safety of your own home, without having to deal with a global pandemic or 24-year-olds with jaws swinging like saloon doors. Its pricy entry point may be a turn-off for some, but when you’re enthusiastically bopping your head to a mash-up of Amy Winehouse, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Pitbull, you can almost forget that it wants to charge you $1.99 for Evanescence. It’s a fun time with tons of replayability, that will deserve a wider audience than the niche crowd it’s poised to appeal to.
