The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos is the game at its absolute best. It's a great murder mystery and a perfect excuse to jump back in.
Ultimately, Murder on Eridanos serves as a magnificent send-off to The Outer Worlds. It’ll keep you hooked from beginning to end; it’s a shining example of how to do downloadable content and has me eagerly awaiting the Fallout: New Vegas sequel that only exists in my head.
The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos is yet another perfect excuse to dive back into this wonderful RPG world. You get to upgrade your characters further, find out more about the amazingly well-written cast and scenarios and live out your fantasies of becoming a space detective.

Murder on Eridanos feels like something of a fresh take on The Outer Worlds as you search for clues to build your investigation and try to wrestle the truth from guilty parties with secrets to hide. The build to the conclusion is a fun ride, though, admittedly, that conclusion may not be to everyone’s tastes. For me, though, it was not only a great excuse to dive back into a game I really enjoy, but it’s also a pretty fine piece of content that, actually, has me more excited for the future of the franchise than anything else I’ve seen from it to date.
Murder on Eridano is the second and final additional content for The Outer Worlds. We will visit a new planet, Eurídano, where we will have to solve a murder and investigate until we can accuse the possible person responsible for the crime. A slower development awaits us and with less emphasis on action, with a lot of text to read and conclusions to draw, but with a lot of house-brand humor.

Obsidian managed to hold on to their unique brand of humor throughout The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos, with the expected gags about capitalism and the value of human life. The story was fun and engaging, even though the mystery wasn't quite as mysterious as we had hoped.

Despite its Flaws, Murder on Eridanos is an Improved DLC Let me make something clear: Murder on Eridanos has notable flaws. These flaws be they gameplay, plot, or technically oriented, hamper the overall experience. Yet, this DLC steps over its predecessor. You can thank the fresh story structure, commitment to the new location, and continually excellent dialog.
The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos is an excellent murder mystery that held my attention from beginning to end.
While its tone and story may feel dated at times, each expansion improves on a solid foundation of great gameplay, and Murder On Eridanos is no exception.
The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos is a marvelous farewell to the memorable cast and locales that this game has delivered to players. If you have enjoyed the quirky adventures of the Unreliable’s “heroic” crew, you owe it to yourself to experience this last hurrah in Halcyon.
Murder on Eridano improves a lot on Peril on Gorgon, alone through the division in different islands the players get a lot more overview of their surroundings. The mix of thriller and conspiracy gets the story elements to a new high, which makes the around ten hours of playtime a great experience. Only the long loading times on the PS4 and the not expandable combat system disturbs the flow of the game.

[T]he latest Outer Worlds DLC is worth the 6 hours just for its premise, its colourful location, and the payoff for both sides of the story.
The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos has everything that fans loved with a little extra to make it the proper send-off for this title. The whodunit direction was a smart way to focus on the amazing writing this game offers while causing the player to break down the possible suspects and solve this mystery. This expansion is Obsidian at their best and compliments this entire experience so well. It’s just sad that there won’t be more.
