GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- is a great fighting game and a great sequel to an old franchise which successfully caters to both genre veterans and newcomers. It is a bit on the expensive side, but the gameplay, art, and music all justify it.
Guilty Gear Strive is the latest entry in the long-running Guilty Gear franchise, one that spans more than 20 years. Documented as the 7th mainline instalment, but the 25th Guilty Gear game overall, Strive represents the first foray into next-gen gaming and my goodness does it make its mark.
Guilty Gear -Strive- is a superb entry in the 2D Fighter genre, and has the looks, sounds, and stability to back the claim. While smaller compared to other titles, the initial roster of fifteen fighters feels distinct, and most picks have a fitting theme to complement their personality and playstyle. The Story Mode does a great job showcasing who these characters are, while providing a good narrative to boot - and while the act of getting matched with other players can be a pain, the online play experience is incredibly solid. Let's rock!
Despite some failings in its tutorial, Guilty Gear Strive is ultimately a more approachable entry in the series.
Guilty Gear Strive sets a new standard for fighting games. Despite having few contents, it’s more accessible than ever, and we believe future updates will include lots of additional fighters.

Mechanically rewarding, visually sumptuous, & aurally satisfying to an insane degree.
Guilty Gear -Strive- has the opportunity to establish itself as one of the best fighting games today. Its systems are dynamic and offensive-oriented, which results in spectacular and aggressive fights that exploit technical fundamentals in battle. At the same time, it invites new players with simple and easy to understand commands, however, it fails to captivate them in the long run. Guilty Gear -Strive- shy away from perfection as there is unbalance and feels incomplete.

I hate playing against every character on the cast—even the mirror match—and that’s a beautiful thing.
Strive's visual revamp is dazzling, and there's also flowing gameplay. It's story, on the other hand, is full of epic moments.

Axel Bowie, Lemmy Hetfield and ZZ Cooper share a dream, while newbies and pros alike gather in a mosh pit and praise rewarding system, offbeat rythm and stunning art style. There's also another girl - brazilian cop of italian descent fighting for US President alongside phantom husky. Just take my money already.

Guilty Gear Strive presents itself as the ultimate experience of the series! The redesigned gameplay, which facilitates the entry of new players in this world, will allow the excellent quality of this title to be enjoyed by a greater number of people. Fortunately, the developer hasn't neglected the game depth of the series' titles, so veteran gamers will also see an excellent challenge to overcome here.

Guilty Gear -Strive- is actually an incredible game, the fighting is fast, flashy, and extremely responsive.
Guilty Gear Strive continues the series' legacy as a flashy fighter with loads of depth, but it also does its best to shed the idea that it's inaccessible. The tweaks and new mechanics make for a fighter that's still a blast to play, and the upgraded presentation, along with the fast load times for the PS5 iteration, make it eye-catching. Provided you don't mind the online lobby system, Strive is an excellent fighting game. Just make sure to keep it patched if you want a decent offline experience.
Guilty Gear Strive shows that you don't need to add many new elements to your game to create an enjoyable experience, but you can provide the best experience by improving old mechanisms and few new ones.

At the end of the day, Guilty Gear Strive is a masterful effort from Arc System Works, proving time and time again that they’re one of the best at what they do. The slightly simplified game mechanics should make it easier for casuals to dive in and hopefully get better the longer they play but is still an insanely deep and technical fighter that will take veterans hundreds of hours to fully master.
A great new entry for a cult classic. Guilty Gear Strive is one the most impressive games in terms of graphics that you can found out there. Also, it is a pretty solid fighting game.

In all seriousness, what is here in Guilty Gear Strive should not be snuffed at.
Gorgeous visuals, a banger soundtrack, unique characters, solid fighting mechanics, and a solid online component all form a neat package ready to be devoured.
