Overall, Guilty Gear Strive is a fantastic entry to the series and to the genre itself. For long-time fans of the series, the story and gameplay will only reinforce the parts of Guilty Gear that have kept them playing and following along. For both those new to fighting games and seasoned veterans, Guilty Gear Strive presents a satisfying system that balances accessibility and mastery with care and confidence.
There are a few mechanics that would've been nice to see in action though. Offline mode does need a few more modes for players to sink their teeth in. However, Strive hit the nail on the head in most departments and is a must-have for any fans of the genre
Arc System Works tried to turn Guilty Gear -Strive- into more accessible game, that can be enjoyed by newcomers. But Strive still have plenty of gameplay depth, great visuals and cool music. If you ever wanted to try Guilty Gear, now is definitely the right time.

Guilty Gear -Strive- will impress longtime fans of the series and has made significant changes to lower the barrier of entry for newcomers, but there might not enough content for some.
Guilty Gear -Strive- excels in all the areas you'd expect it to – the music is sick, the characters look crazy, the fighting is fun, and May players deserve nothing. It's an old dog that's been taught new tricks, and all of those tricks are rad as hell. At the same time, it feels like it can be so much more. The story mode is clunky and the Online Mode can use some work, but I'm sure as post-launch support ramps up we'll see stellar improvements to both those fronts.
Guilty Gear Strive continues the series' legacy of complex and rewarding technical fighters, enhanced with a new look, characters, and ideas that bring its bold, complex gameplay to new heights.
Guilty Gear Strive sets a new standard for fighting games. Despite having few contents, it’s more accessible than ever, and we believe future updates will include lots of additional fighters.

Guilty Gear -Strive- rocked my socks off with its gorgeous visuals, kick-ass music, and tight fighting gameplay. I can't wait until it releases so I can spend hours beating up all sorts of folks in its impressive online multiplayer mode.
Guilty Gear -Strive- is actually an incredible game, the fighting is fast, flashy, and extremely responsive.
Accessibility and style are both Guilty Gear -Strive-'s strongest suits but some baffling omissions and online problems keep Arc System Works' latest from entering the pantheon of elite fighters.
Arc System Works is always striving for greatness in the genre, and they have done it yet again by making Guilty Gear a more accessible fighting game for players of all skill levels.
Gorgeous visuals, a banger soundtrack, unique characters, solid fighting mechanics, and a solid online component all form a neat package ready to be devoured.
The Guilty Gear Strive is the best successor!

Guilty Gear Strive presents itself as the ultimate experience of the series! The redesigned gameplay, which facilitates the entry of new players in this world, will allow the excellent quality of this title to be enjoyed by a greater number of people. Fortunately, the developer hasn't neglected the game depth of the series' titles, so veteran gamers will also see an excellent challenge to overcome here.

Mechanically rewarding, visually sumptuous, & aurally satisfying to an insane degree.
Overall Guilty Gear Strive is a great game. Arc System Works really took the time to create a tight and refined fighter that is only complemented by a rock-solid online component. For a game series over twenty years old, Strive is the most accessible in the series for newcomers by far, and if you never have played a fighter but think this one looks neat then by all means jump in. There is a lack of single-player options and the lobbies can feel clunky and tedious but, once you’re in the heat of a match, these issues simply melt away.
The long running series has always faced challenges in improving the game itself while trying to keep its fan base intact. Once again, this ‘new Guilty Gear’ comes with enhanced graphics and overall upgraded gameplay mechanics. While they could have kept most of their old system and only focused on the visuals, their efforts in trying to make the best outcome in every detail is worth the praise. Specifically, the ‘hardcore player’ barrier has become less strict in difficulty, in comparison to their predecessor which would easily allow newcomers to the existing fighting game community. The 15 playable characters may not seem much but their continuous development and evolution in the near future is something we can positively bet on for better updates to come.

Guilty Gear Strive looks absolutely stunning and feels great to play, with the slick ‘easy to learn, difficult to master’ combat perfect for both newbies and series veterans. The only thing that really lets the game down is a lack of meat on its bones as far as single player modes are concerned, with the Arcade Mode lacking depth and the Story Mode offering no gameplay at all. Those who are looking forward to competitive play will be happy to see that the netcode is solid throughout though, whilst the online lobbies can actually be pretty charming – even if the cutesy avatars won’t be for everyone. Overall, it’s just a really impressive fighting package and one that I’m looking forward to coming back to for more brutal beatdowns in the future.
