Overall, I have to say I'm really impressed with Edge of Eternity. While it does have some misses here and there, with a few moments of cringy or campy writing or general trouble, the adventure as a whole is well thought out and put together. The battle system feels more fresh than I expected, and the addition of the puzzle challenges really shows that the developers were putting a lot of thought into how to work it. Edge of Eternity provides a great experience for those looking for a new RPG to try out.

Edge of Eternity is a beautiful game that is held back by the ambition of the developers. There are just too many moving parts here, and nothing seems to be fully executed. It’s by no means a waste of time, though, and provides hours of fantasy adventures in a new world, but it lacks focus and implementation due to the numerous features and broken narrative.

Edge of Eternity is a love letter to classic Final Fantasy and Xenoblade games.

All in all, Edge of Eternity is a fun game. Aside from some weird facial animations, and some other jank I really enjoyed my time in the world. As I said before the world itself is quite beautiful and inviting; it really goes to show just how good Unreal 4 engine can be. I know we are all hyped to see the new U5 games, but the old version still looks great. If you are a fan of the JRPGs from the 90’s and early 00’s then Edge of Eternity is for you. It has just enough nostalgia to make you smile when thinking about those old memories, but enough current systems and features that make it really feel like a product that is the best of both worlds.

Ambitious in size, scale, and scope, Edge of Eternity offers a somewhat enjoyable romp that could last you over 40 hours. Sadly, it's also very rough around the edges, and poor pacing can be detrimental to your experience.

Edge of Eternity is an ambitious game, but it doesn't quite live up to its scope. The game feels like a homage to the classic Final Fantasy games of old, but its enchanting world is let down by the lackluster events happening on its surface. The combat system and character customization are well-done, but they don't matter if there isn't a good reason to keep moving forward. While JRPG fans will likely find enough to like that its worth giving Edge of Eternity a shot, other players should seek more engaging options within the same genre.

Edge of Eternity is definitely a welcome addition to the JRPG pantheon, and while it clearly doesn't have the budget of the genre giants, it is full of heart and character. I certainly enjoyed my time exploring Heryon, despite a few niggles and a crafting system that adds little. If you go into this with an open mind and have an affection for the genre, then you'll find much to like.

Edge of Eternity wears all its inspirations on its sleeves and is better off for it. This is a pretty standard JRPG but the world building and the motivation of characters and how they interact with each other and the world, are what sets it apart from the fold.

Edge of Eternity has not only met, but surpassed my expectations in every way imaginable. It goes beyond simply being a “love letter to the classics” and has the potential to eventually become one itself someday, given that it gets a little bit of polish here and there (which I’ve already heard that it will be receiving, at least in part). In a gaming landscape that seems to have largely given up on many of the more traditional JRPGs, it’s nice to see that there are others out there who insist on keeping it alive—and it’s encouraging to see that they have the means to see things through.

Edge of Eternity is an ode to JRPG, an app that transpire love and passion for the genre. A simple story, which quickly takes on Dantesque proportions where the fate of the world depends only on a handful of heroes who are everything but heroes.

The plot will instantly grab your attention and never let go. As I said before, the game starts by showing you the world ending stakes, but it quickly starts to focus on the more personal story of siblings trying to save their mom. Make no mistake, Daryon and Selene are on this journey for their family, saving the world is just a bonus. Along with this central hook come a ton of wrinkles in the plot that all tie together nicely, like the politics of each region, the corruption (because of course) present in the religious Sanctorium, and much more I won’t spoil here. Edge of Eternity fires on all cylinders, and I can’t wait to play even more. Check back soon for our full review.

Edge Of Eternity is an epic fantasy RPG about saving the world from aliens and an evil illness. There’s a lot to see and do with combat and customization adding to the creativity. It struggles with stiffness, clipping, pacing, and RNG as it tries to run smoothly. Feel free to explore eternity, just don’t stand too close to the edge.

Edge of Eternity offers us a complete open world RPG, with very good technical workmanship and visually beautiful. The story is interesting, the amount of content is overwhelming and offers several dozens of hours of gameplay. On the downside, the title's performance and some animations could be much better.

Edge of Eternity is a great RPG, with beautiful graphics, filled with vivid and vibrant involvements, great characters, and a great history. Not only that, but the game has an interface sure to please fans of the style, a deep battle system, charismatic protagonists, and a LOT of promise.
