Lemnis Gate carries with it many of the tried-and-true aspects of a team shooter that have become beloved in the genre while adding a unique timeline element that makes it its own unique entity. If it weren't for its shockingly low population of active players, this one seems like it would become a fan favorite.

Lemnis Gate is a unique, strategic, turn-based first-person shooter that has some good things going for it. The mechanics work well together and trying out different operatives and strategies is fun for sure. That said, there isn’t a ton of content here and whether there will be anyone to play against will depend on whether Ratloop can push out ongoing content to keep players coming back.

Lemnis Gate gets a lot right when all the stars align and you're able to get into the game without a hitch. However, at least on PS5, the game has quite a few hiccups that prevent the player from ever reaching the fun twist on your run of the mill shooter.

My expectations for Lemnis Gate were big, but my curiosity was even better. After all, how could it mix two genres so different in a fun and remarkable game? The answer was laudable, as can be checked in this timing strategy FPS with good gameplay, beautiful graphics and unique mechanics. There are some things that can be improved upon, especially when it comes to the online and balancing, but it's already a recommended option for your library and it may make the most out of its potential in the future.

Lemnis Gate is a game at odds with itself. Its well-executed time loop mechanics could potentially appeal beyond the usual hardcore shooter crowd, but the game's matchmaking shortcomings and lack of single-player content will keep that wider audience at arm's length. Lemnis Gate is fun, but it feels like a concept that needed more resources to fully realize its promise. That said, if you are a dedicated shooter fan looking for something a little different, you may find yourself doing the time warp again (and again and again).

Lemnis Gate is as complex as it is fun. While its complicated mechanics may seem overwhelming at first, when you jump into a match, it feels both intuitive and easy to understand. For its low price point, it would be silly to pass up picking up Lemnis Gate.

Lemnis Gate compensates for his lack of personality with an interesting basic idea, in a shooter where strategy plays a fundamental role.

‎Lemnis Gate is a different multiplayer shooter, and as such, everyone may not like it for having something atypical and that at first seems complicated. Personally, I think you should give it a try and try if you really like it. In addition, its inclusion in the well-known Xbox Game Pass service, makes it easier to find out if we are really interested. This impressive service gives us the opportunity to try games without any fear, because if you do not like it you delete it and try another.‎

Lemnis Gate firing on all cylinders can be a delightfully cerebral experience, its time loop concept and diverse character roster paving the way for some truly spectacular moment-to-moment gameplay. It’s just a pity then that at launch, the majority of the player base, at least outside of the higher ranks, seem unwilling to embrace the whacky concept. Given time, though, once a core of dedicated fans develops, Lemnis Gate has the potential to provide a truly novel alternative take on the hero shooter genre.

Lemnis Gate is intoxicating. Lemnis Gate is excruciating. Lemnis Gate is both these things. It's also a unique, compelling, strategic shooter, but one that might be too far ahead of its time.

Lemnis Gate is a serial experiment of time loop game. It saids 25 seconds for each round, total 10 rounds are meaningful time to accomplish a drama. Shooting, action, clutch-all the things about game is in its rounds. But if you can't understand rules, it will be your worst game at all. So, It can be said that the most radical experiment of the year.

An intriguing concept for a multiplayer shooter that ultimately fails to excite, where you're more creatively constrained than you might initially think.

Overall, Lemnis Gate brings a lot of innovation to the table, surpassing its time travel rival to present a strategic FPS that's well worth some attention. While held back by a lack of modes outside of online multiplayer and an outdated presentation, launching on the hugely successful Xbox Game Pass service makes the game palatable to those with an existing subscription. Whether it's jumping into an online lobby or gathering a group of friends for private matchmaking, there's nothing else quite like Lemnis Gate on console, and it's well worth a look for anyone who wants to see one possible future of the FPS genre.
