WWE 2K22 Reviews
WWE 2K22 fixes many of the serious bugs of the previous game and builds a solid foundation to build on with great gameplay and interesting game modes. Although minor, there are issues that need to be fixed, but there is a lot of fun to be had here.

WWE 2K22 is a massive step up in quality for the troubled wrestling franchise. The gameplay engine is in great shape, and the mode quality is mostly solid. While there are improvements to be made going forward, I'm no longer totally hopeless about the future of the series.
WWE 2K22 manages to polish a lot of issues from the previous game, but it's still not quite there yet. The good thing though is that it seems they put the first stone right, and the future of the series could be bright.

WWE 2K22 Put the series back on track, with its new and innovate gameplay and the return of some fan favorite game modes. While it has some issue, it sits a solid baseline for the future entries.

WWE 2K22 is an entry wrestling fans cannot miss. It has everything you can expect from WWE; from an enhanced look, a better and easier to remember control scheme, to a solid variety of modes where MyGM is the crowning jewel. WWE 2K22 is a foundation for the future of the franchise, and a far cry from the disaster of 2019.

Despite some graphic mishaps, a lackluster debut for MyGM and some feature exclusions like Advanced Entrances due to technical issues, WWE 2K22 returns the series to form better than before.
WWE 2K22 certainly hits different, go check the score again, it certainly has not come out a perfect ten. The redeemable qualities, thankfully, are the wrestling mechanics themselves, which ironically might not be everyone's cup of tea, and MyRISE mode which offers a good amount of content to keep the average WWE gamer going. It has taken over 2 years for the game to finally release and while it is an improvement on WWE 2K20 it still serves up disappointment in other ways, such as an outdated roster, a pathetic attempt at recreating General Manager mode, and a disgusting ethical issue of microtransactions in MyFACTION mode, albeit optional. MyFACTION mode is enjoyable, and can be played without using real-world money to progress, but the fact of the matter is that this mechanic should not exist in a full priced game. If you came to play then there is certainly a price to pay.
After years of weak experiences finally 2K offers us an entertaining wrestling game with beautiful graphics and many diverse gameplay options.

WWE 2K22 isn't going to surpass the likes of "No Mercy" and "Here Comes The Pain" in terms of fan favourite wrestling games, but in our opinion, it's the best WWE 2K game to date. The gameplay is improved, the graphics are improved, and there's enough content here to keep you busy for a long time, even if some of the new modes haven't quite reached their potential yet. There are still some unwanted series staples here, such as clunky collision detection, but for the most part it's obvious how much progress has been made across the board over the past couple of years, and it's now up to 2K to take things to the next level with WWE 2K23.
Not only is WWE 2K22 better in every way than the previous game in the series, it's arguably the best and most fun WWE title since the PS2 glory days. One that will certainly make you acknowledge the Head of the Table!
If the recent rumors that EA Games is going to start developing WWE games turns out to be untrue, then WWE 2K22 serves as a fairly good base to work from for future offerings. The fighting alone is much improved and enjoyable to work with, and the graphics look quite nice, even though some flourishes are missing and the PC version isn't up to expectations. The modes are pretty hit-and-miss, and the legacy issues and hilariously outdated roster show that this isn't quite the comeback many people were hoping for. There's enough fun to be had here, despite the issues to warrant a look for those craving a "good enough" wrestling game, especially from those who were heavily burned by WWE 2K20.
Overall, the game is great and worth the asking price. The game is available on the PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. Fans can look at the WWE and 2K Youtube channels to see more gameplay and mechanic trailers of what WWE 2K22 has in store for them as the game releases on their preferred system.
WWE2K22 is quite possibly the most complete wrestling game we have seen in many years. Surprisingly I piled in over 30 hours over the course of three or four days and I still want to go and experience everything I haven’t seen. With a roster of over 160 wrestlers and 29 on the way as DLC, you’ll never run out of options on who to choose.
MyRise is fantastic, the character creation is meme-worthy world-class, and the improved gameplay mechanics align it with modern fighting games. However, it's a good taste of what's possible if the series doesn't stick to a yearly release schedule.
WWE 2K22 takes the recommendation for 7 points out of 10. The series has taken a new breath, but there are still some shortcomings and mistakes remain. Other parts will hopefully be a little better.

I’m a wrestling nerd and I’m not afraid to say it. So, when the chance came along to review WWE 2K22, I grabbed that brass ring with both hands.
WWE 2K22 is the step forward that the saga needed after a year of more than necessary rest. Wrestling reclaims its throne and comes ready to give war to anyone who gets in front of it.

WWE 2K22 has a lot riding on it, and it shows. 2K22 has made video game wrestling fun again while retaining the wealth of creative options to make your experience more unique and personalized. My GM is pure gold, even with its unfortunate limits in place, and it should only get better from here. Meanwhile, 2K Showcase and My Rise offer their own distinctive ways to immerse yourself in the world of wrestling, and coupled with the impressive graphics, give you more than enough reason to keep jumping back in. Online play did have its issues early on and My Rise isn't as refined as I'd hoped, but despite those flaws, 2K22 will continue to be in my console's heavy rotation because of everything else it brings to the party, and I would definitely call that a success.
WWE2K22 is a solid entry into the Wrestling sim ecosystem, but things have changed. AEW is coming out with their own Wrestling sim this year, and WWE2K22 will have a legit competitor in more than a decade. It’s definitely the best wrestling game in the last 3 years, but will it be the best wrestling game this year?
If we consider that WWE 2K22 is the first step of a new era, then we can only applaud the effort of Visual Concepts.
