You can feel Shinjji Mikami's influence all over this one, it's got that Vanquish magic, that God Hand swagger and attitude, all wrapped up in a delightfully colourful world full of good time vibes that's put us in a properly positive mood over the past few days. More of this kind of thing please!
Hi-Fi Rush is a stone-cold stunner, one with gameplay in lockstep with the beat. While finding one’s groove takes some getting used to, those with a keen ear will be in tune in no time flat.
We can argue that the game also got some advantage from being shadow-dropped which didn’t give people the chance to set expectations before playing the game, and that it came out in a time when some of the AAA releases had rocky receptions. But personally, I believe that even without these factors, Hi-Fi RUSH would still stand out and be known as the enjoyable game that it is. So kudos to the people behind Hi-Fi RUSH, it was really evident from the game itself that it was a labor of love and I’m glad to see such a game be made in this era. If you haven’t tried out Hi-Fi RUSH yet, I highly recommend that you do; you won’t regret it.
Hi-Fi Rush is exemplary in terms of accessibility. Simply an ultra-polished, ultra-stylish brawler fest that had me hooked from the very first moments all the way through the credits—and even beyond. Normally, I don’t bother with post-game content, but the sheer quality of the experience was enough to make me dive right into testing new modes and hunting down missed treasures. So, if you’re into action games and happen to have 30 euros burning a hole in your pocket, I can’t think of a better way to spend them than this. Slightly clunky platforming is a minor flaw in an otherwise brilliant package.

From the moment the game opens with The Black Keys’ “Lonely Boy“, to smashing bosses with a guitar while Beethoven’s 5th Symphony blares, Hi-Fi RUSH is musical headliner packed with melodic mayhem. Its platforming and combat are enhanced every step of the way through clever incorporation of its soundtrack, offering an approachable blend of classic beat ’em up gameplay mashed together with rhythmic elements. With a colourful performance from its charming characters, and an even more vibrant visual style, Hi-Fi RUSH is a videogame treat that doesn’t miss a beat.
Like a bolt out of the blue Bethesda and Tango Gameworks come to the aid of Microsoft and their meager first-party management by pulling Hi-Fi RUSH out of the hat, an action rhythm game destined to enter the hearts and ears of gamers not only because of the ways in which it has been presented and released, but because it is for all intents and purposes a wonderful and unlikely blend of genres, one that entertains, galvanizes and will make you tap your foot as if you were playing a bass drum on a drum set. A little bit Devil May Cry, a little bit Ratchet & Clank, a little bit Scott Pilgrim vs The World, the market absolutely needs projects like Hi-Fi Rush. Disclaimer: Mandatory use of headphones!

Hi-Fi RUSH is a wonderful surprise: a splendid visual and musical work with well-designed mechanics. Despite some repetitiveness and simplified aspects, the game's overall quality is impressive, especially at about half the price of a typical AAA title. Tango Gameworks' production can be considered a genre reference, attracting rhythm game newcomers and pleasing veterans who aren't exactly spoiled for choice in this genre.

It’s clear that Tango Gameworks took a gamble with a whole new project after Ghostwire Tokyo and The Evil Within, and they have absolutely smashed it out of the park. Hi-Fi Rush is hand on heart one of the most memorable and special adventures I’ve had on Xbox and the surprise element of the shadow drop straight onto Xbox Game Pass has thrust 2023 into a promising year for the brand.
Hi-Fi Rush is a surprise! One of the best titles from Microsoft's catalog has landed on the PlayStation 5 and is causing a sensation. It's brilliantly written and designed, and everyone should give it a try. A truly wonderful game.

Rhythm, beat, robots. What more can we ask for?
Hi-Fi Rush lands on PlayStation 5 bringing with it all the glittering baggage that allowed it to enter the hearts of thousands last year on Xbox and PC. Tango Gameworks' stunning game fully represents everything an entertainment product should do, which is to entertain. Despite some flaws in terms of level design, the title deserves to be played by all those who love action and music, perfectly blended here.

The PS5 may not be the best place to play Hi-Fi Rush, since it seems to demand a lower latency than the regular Dualsense controllers offer. That being said, it's still an excellent game that's well worth your time. The music is top notch, the visuals are great and the gameplay is jam-packed with slick action. Just consider playing it on a different system or replacing your controller with one that's more high-end.

Hi-Fi Rush arrives on PlayStation 5 in its best form, offering its wonderful mix of action and rythym gameplay. Fun to play, wonderful to look at and satisfying to listen to, Tango Gameworks' title could only do better in the implementation of DualSense, because otherwise I wouldn't change a thing.

Hi-Fi Rush may not have been successful the first time, but now it’s available to even more players on PlayStation 5. First, it was only accessible via the Xbox Game Pass, but now it’s available to purchase on its own and a physical version will also finally be available thanks to Limited Run Games. The bright and colourful characters, environments, enemies, bosses and more, all playing along to the beat, make this a must-buy for any console it’s available on. Hi-Fi Rush is the perfect game for anyone ready to rock!
Hi-Fi Rush is a blast from beginning to end. The writing may be cheesy, but the game leans into it, making it enjoyable. When you get the rhythm flowing, it makes you feel like nothing can stop you.
Hi-Fi Rush is a phenomenal rythym-action title oozing with style that should not be missed.
Hi-Fi Rush is a small masterpiece, a video game that goes against the grain and does it excellently by presenting gamers with a title that is different from the usual and entertaining. Not only is the overall graphic and technical aspect commendable, but also the characterization of the characters and their ironic streak is something beyond imagination. A highly recommended video game for those who want to get their hands on something different and extremely entertaining.

Hi-Fi Rush is just impressive. Not only coming of a studio that focuses on Terror, but also for showing us a new IP in a way different genre we would expect from Tango. The game have a lot of heart and is visually stunning, its accessibility features are great for people that isn't good for Rhythm games or just wanna have a breezy time.
