Critic Reviews for The Library of Babel
There's a great game waiting to be checked out from The Library of Babel, but it's currently buried under platforming puzzles that are too annoying to be fun. It's a beautiful game with a compelling story, but it needs some difficulty adjustments to let the fun parts save the day.
The Library of Babel takes its short story inspirations and runs, crafting a compelling, strange sci-fi world that isn't always as fun to explore as it is to read about, or just simply vibe in.
The Library of Babel has a solid setup and some nice narrative moments. It’s well presented and the central quest is good enough to keep players engaged. The title’s problem is that it struggles to make gameplay fun or varied.
The Library of Babel has great graphic design and setting, but don't expect much more than that. Unless you're one of those players who likes to suffer from tight platforming sessions and a confusing item management system, it's better to avoid it.

Library of Babel is full of beautiful art, excellent worldbuilding, and a story worth telling. Unfortunately, poorly designed platforming and boring stealth segments make up the majority of the gameplay, putting a damper on an experience that was clearly a labor of love.
Showcasing platform concepts, investigation missions and moments of stealth, The Library of Babel presents itself as an interesting action title, even with problems in the quality of life of the gameplay, such as when using the items, and in its presentation, which can be confusing due to the excess of information and the lack of translation into Portuguese. However, the development of the story pays off to the point of forming an excellent adventure full of enigmas, which becomes even cooler for anyone who is a fan of the literature of magical realism and Jorge Luis Borges. Thus, in the company of Ludovik, it is as if we were reading an unpublished short story by the Argentine author, which feeds our imagination with its surreal aesthetics and the occurrence of fantastic events.

With a mix of classic cinematic platforming and adventure Babel does it’s own thing, but it isn’t all positives
A game that stealth and infiltration lovers will love. This title from the Spanish team Tanuki Game Studio has managed to build an adventure under an exciting dystopian future.
