Super Mario RPG Reviews
Super Mario RPG delivers an enjoyable experience that will charm most fans of the mustached plumber, but is unlikely to be remembered as a unique experience in the long run. Cool humor, an interestingly crafted world, a good soundtrack and gameplay improvements are definitely upsides to the revamped RPG, but the afflictions of the past still inflect today's gaming experience.

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars has always had a strong following and this remake will only do wonders in introducing this game to a whole new slew of fans. The game features enough quality-of-life changes and feels much faster than the SNES version, making it an absolute joy to play. The pacing of the game is lightning fast and this will keep gamers glued to their Nintendo Switch, and they won’t feel short changed with the smaller-than-usual run time for the genre. Yes, the game is a condensed easy ride, but it’s fun from start to finish and manages to capture the fun of a Final Fantasy game whilst also perfectly representing the world of Super Mario. It’s an almost ideal “first” RPG for any budding gamer and a perfect palette cleaner for others.
Super Mario RPG effectively rescues the sensations produced by the original title and brings back an immortal Super Nintendo classic in style. Although the adventure is not very long or challenging, it shows its value through a light and humorous world, great characters, interesting mechanics, a series of small improvements and even some completely new content after the end of the main plot. New generations now have a better chance of not letting this classic pass away — and if you remember it fondly, it's definitely worth revisiting.

I really liked Super Mario RPG! It's a fun time through and through. Seeing all the zany characters in a gorgeous art style, accompanied by a beautifully rearranged soundtrack really took me back. The combat is engaging and smooth, especially with the updates provided by ArtePiazza. It takes everything that was beloved about the original and keeps it intact while adding minor tweaks to sandpaper down some rough edges. Some may complain that some of the mechanical additions make combat too easy, but I find that they further push the idea of a "beginner's RPG". Super Mario RPG is a beautiful, funny, and diverse experience for any RPG player, mind you.
While dated design means other parts of the tale don’t hold up quite as well as its biting comedy, Super Mario RPG remains a strong adventure with challenging combat, and plenty of unique quirks. By maintaining its spirit beneath a fresh lick of paint, Nintendo has created a welcome opportunity to experience or re-experience one of the most important games in Super Mario history.
While it may not surpass the original in every aspect, its charm, humor, and polished gameplay make it a worthy addition to the Mario RPG legacy.
Super Mario RPG may not be challenging but enjoyable turn-based combat and wonderfully charming and witty writing make this nostalgic RPG a shining example of how to remake a beloved classic.
Super Mario RPG is a light and enjoyable return to the roots of Mario’s now-iconic presence in the role-playing game genre. Those looking for a more complex RPG may find it a tad too simplistic, but this remake thrives at being a straightforward and endlessly pleasant throwback to a simpler time.
I have been very conflicted about the damned "little number" to assign to Super Mario RPG, as this remake is an experience that, by some mysterious sorcery, is still very solid in multiple respects and capable of both bringing new players to an increasingly niche genre, appeasing old fans with a remake that does not distort the original work, and offering a very valid, compact and disengaged JRPG to fans of the genre.

A game that faithfully reproduces the emotions and sentiment of the original released on the Super Famicom. For old fans, it is a source of great excitement. However, there is a slight sense of regret due to its close-to-remaster approach, leaving some longing for a more comprehensive remake tailored for old fans.

Super Mario RPG is a well-put-together remaster that balances the old and new, though focusing more on the old. That isn't exactly a bad thing given how influential and charming the 1996 original was, and still is. New players who want to get their feet wet in the Japanese role-playing game genre and have a Nintendo Switch handy must make this title a must-buy.
Super Mario RPG is a faithful remake of the 1996 classic, which adds several new gameplay features and some welcome quality-of-life updates. While the revisioned graphics, sound, and music are amazing, the storytelling is still very basic with a challenge that is somehow easier than the Super Nintendo original. However, if you can stomach the price, which is a bit high considering the overall package, there’s still a lot of fun to be had here.
Super Mario RPG was a moment of reflection in the franchise and was the precursor of what we now know as the “Mario & Luigi” franchise, highly recommended games whose latest installments were the respective remakes of their first two DS adventures for the 3DS. If you have played the latter and you play Super Mario RPG, you will notice flashes and small details of this franchise in it. Super Mario RPG is a fun adventure to enjoy for all lovers of classic role-playing games, it is a very simple and accessible game for all audiences that will also make us enjoy and laugh with very good times of fun. In conclusion, an adventure that may well be simple and short; so if you are looking for great strategies, study of strengths, weaknesses and weak points as well as great challenges (basic components in an RPG), it may fall a bit short, but if on the other hand you are looking to have a good time with a game With large doses of fun and playable surprises, this is your game, since they are things that urge the player to continue advancing in the story and discover the secret behind the 7 shooting stars and the new enemy that has invaded the mushroom world during the 10-11 hours that the adventure lasts.

Super Mario RPG does a great job of mixing charming characters and fun, intuitive gameplay into an easy-to-enjoy package. Despite a few stumbles along the way, this classic journey largely lives up to its reputation, giving fans, new and old, something wonderful to experience.
In conclusion, this remake of Super Mario RPG is exactly what I was hoping for. Everything is as I remembered it, but with modern visuals and some gameplay improvements. It's shorter than I remembered, but I think that's thanks to the extra accessibility elements and the fact that I know a bit more about the genre than I did back then. Plus, if you want to introduce someone to the genre, there's an easier mode to enjoy the story. What's more, the game is entirely in French, so everyone will be able to understand it. In short, it's a great success, and I hope Nintendo will finally consider a sequel.

For a game that was released all the way back on the SNES in 1996, Super Mario RPG has held up exceedingly well.
Super Mario RPG is a strong remake from Nintendo thanks to the updated graphics, music and animations. It shows that the 1996-game is a timeless classic due to it's great story and memorable cast of characters.

In the end it's a very balanced and successful proposal, a meeting of forces between Square and Nintendo that worked well. Perhaps the greatest merit of this remake is to fulfill the mission that the original lacked, to leave the Japanese exclusivity and reach the whole world, with a presentation that reveals care and at the same time fidelity to the primitive design.
