Tales from the Borderlands: Episode Five - The Vault of the Traveler Reviews
Finally wrapping up a game you've been gradually playing over the better part of a year is always bittersweet, and if that finale falls short the entire experience feels soiled and tainted as a result. Happily, the Tales from the Borderlands finale will make the 10-month lead-up completely worth it, and you'll likely find yourself wanting to go back through and play it all from the beginning in rapid succession. At the end there's just one question left to be answered: when will More Tales from the Borderlands be announced?
Overall, and the vote for this latest episode actually coincides with the global one assigned to this first season, Tales from the Borderlands is a bet won, a title that confirms Telltale's excellent skills and does not disappoint long-time fans and new patrons.

For those willing to suffer through a couple hours of mediocrity, this ending justifies the investment.
One of the best Telltale games ever made
This story, these characters and this product are simply too good for only a small segment of the population to enjoy.
A flawless conclusion to what might be Telltale's greatest work.
There aren't many other words to explain that Tales from The Borderlands was a hit, and arguably the best product churned out by Telltale to date. This last episode, then, concludes the story in a crackling way, touching the right strings and guessing many finds.

"Vault of the Traveler" didn't quite have the ending I wanted, but it's a decent addition to Tales From the Borderlands.
The Vault of the Traveler finishes off what Escape Plan Bravo began, delivering an entertaining conclusion to the Tales From The Borderlands series. Even at this late stage, important choices are made and help create a finale that is fun and satisfying.
This title will be showing up on many "Game of the Year" lists, and rightly so, with a memorable story, filled with truly original, smart and witty writing, set in such a fantastic universe, this is one not to miss.
Tales From The Borderlands: Episode 5 is a fitting end to this series. The storytelling did change slightly over the span of five chapters, but it continually took forward steps. Telltale Games has outdone itself with this series, delivering their most consistent effort from one chapter to the next. The end result is the best overall series to date.
Tales from the Borderlands – Episode Five: The Vault of the Traveler is a journey packed with action, laughter, and tears. Emotions are high, as players and characters alike question whether or not they made the right choices. Telltale has certainly created a powerful conclusion to the episodic series that successfully ties up all the loose ends.
Telltale and 2k Games hit a home run with their conclusion to the Tales from the Borderlands series.
If for some reason you have any interest in adventure games and have not yet experienced 'Tales from the Borderlands,' now there is no excuse. 'Vault of the Traveler' is by far the best episode, even with its crippling stagger issues. In between the laugh-out-loud moments and the almost tearful, poignant moments of the underlying theme of friendship are a collection of witty jokes and awkward banter that any gamer can enjoy, not just longtime 'Borderlands' fans.
Vault of the Traveler brings a proper close to the first Tales From the Borderlands season, and should signal the end of Telltale's failing game engine.
