"A Journey Through the Ruins of a Dying World" Lunarium offers a unique action RPG experience thanks to its exceptional art style, balanced combat system, rich exploration, and the compelling relationship between Ave and Lune. While the enemy variety is limited and some polishing needs improvement, its enchanting world, customization systems, and solid performance make it one of the most promising indie games of 2026.

The concept of Lunarium as a small Souls-like is just genius. It's just too bad the game won't be defined by the idea, but rather by loads of bugs and unrealised potential.

Lunarium almost works to introduce Souls-inspired isometric ARPG to interested players. Combat satisfies while the story underserves its themes with a rocky narrative structure. Some will find Ave and Lune’s relationship the core of their experience, while others will enjoy the smaller, easily navigable levels. Lunarium shoots for the moon and lands among the Starfarers.

Lunarium is a gem of an action RPG with Soulslike elements, and its key narrative focus on the bond between its main characters makes it stand out all the more.

Lunarium is an action-rpg permeating with a wistful atmosphere that delicately embraces the best aspects of the souls-like genre while forgoing much of what can make them frustrating.

Lunarium is a beautifully crafted Soulslike with rewarding combat, memorable visuals, and strong exploration. Its familiar story and reliance on parrying won't suit everyone, but fans of skill-based action RPGs will find plenty to enjoy.

Lunarium works because it knows exactly the kind of experience it wants to deliver. It isn't interested in becoming the biggest Soulslike on the market or replacing the genre's giants. Instead, it's about delivering a finely-tuned adventure where gorgeous environments, satisfying combat, and a heartfelt partnership guide you from start to finish.

Lunarium is a great game held back by some stupid difficulty. I love its hand-drawn world, the interplay between Ave and Lune, the satisfying sword combat, and the flexibility of its cloaks and Embroideries. I also desperately hope its most severe difficulty spikes and combat inconsistencies are improved after launch. The foundation is too good to let a handful of frustrating encounters undermine the entire experience.

Lunarium is a beautiful & gorgeous indie-level action role-playing game with a lovely amount of challenge and a few unfinished text bits and user interface options to sort out.
