Job Simulator (VR)
Genuinely amusing and one of the slickest VR experiences to date, Job Simulator is perfect for quick demos of your new headset, but has little long-term value beyond that.
Despite some funny moments, Job Simulator doesn’t offer enough depth or variety to be satisfying
It’s fantastically silly, but as with many of these “simulator” games, it’s a concept that can wear thin after a while. It’s a well rounded game that’s definitely worth playing, and perfect for showing VR to people, but that’ll be the main reason why you load it up after having played it for an hour or two.
It’s delightful, but it’s delightful for about 90 minutes – with the very important exception that you might very well bust it out every time someone new comes around your house.
When you create sandbox worlds, it’s very easy to leave the player to “make their own fun”, but here the mixture of intuitive controls, player agency, and tongue-in-cheek humor makes Job Simulator a must-have. While it’s a little on the short side, Job Simulator is the easiest VR title to recommend. If you have a VR headset, this game needs to be in your library.
Job Simulator is about taking remedial tasks, giving players ridiculous tools and letting them goof off. It's wonderful.
A brief delight with satisfying gameplay and irreverent charm, Job Simulator is an early standout on PlayStation VR.
Job Simulator is a little on the expensive side for a game that doesn't offer a great deal of long-term challenge, but it's a great purchase for those new to VR or who want a fun and funny game to use to introduce VR to their friends or family.
Job Simulator is as garbage as its name would suggest. Ostensibly yet another inane joke "simulator" game, it tasks you with performing dreary tasks like cooking soup or stamping résumés while wry robots (again) crack wise. The difference here is the robots are actually pretty funny.
Job Simulator manages to make the most inane tasks fun with satisfying gameplay and witty dialogue. It's easily one of the highlights of PlayStation VR's launch and should be played by every owner who has the space to do so.
