Forza Horizon 3 Reviews
Forza Horizon 3 is another stellar open world racing game that has a plethora of things to see and do. Some of it can get somewhat repetitive during prolonged sessions, but Playground Games has really gone to town in packing the game with a variety of events and some great online activities to keep you hooked. Hit the gas and set off on an Aussie racing odyssey. You won't regret it.
The graphic design looks phenomenal - from the dynamically changing sky to the dense forest vegetation - we can pick out some eye-catching detail at every step.

I reckon I could play this forever, ay.
There’s more to go on about in Horizon 3, more secrets and features to help firmly set it as the best racer of the year. Largely, though, it’s a game that revels in the sheer love of driving for the sake of driving. The mix of traditional races, outrageous stunts and extreme speed across one of the most stunning landscapes you’re likely to find just works.
It would be easy for an observer to write off the Horizon flavor of Forza as a campy, amateurish, uninspired offshoot. Turn 10 and Playground's partnership has consistently worked to thwart these potential worries with solid mechanics that tweak certain aspects of Motorsport to be a touch less sartorial. It's a delicate balance that the two teams have gotten correct twice previous. Things are reliably no different this time around. Everything that gives driving the festival its own identity is here again, with just a twinge less sophistry in racing environments. The slight changes make competitions more prim and proper without having an overt effect on free roaming joy rides. A dizzyingly expansive event list tandems with a solid online component of good range. The Blueprint system is a respectable attempt to add more community interaction that should beneficially evolve in post launch weeks and months. Another awesome selection of four wheeled creations get to speed, skid, and slide along in stunning backdrops with a refreshing soundtrack to boot. Everything we've come to expect from the Horizon festival is back in spades, which is motor music to every virtual gear head's ears!
I have to hand it to Playground Games. They took everything that made Forza Horizon 2 great and refined it. There's basically nothing in Forza Horizon 3 that doesn't say perfection. From the moment you press start, the game throws everything it has at you, from flawless execution on or off the track, its presentation, and fun online session / matchmaking. This is, at least for the time being, the pinnacle of racing games for the Xbox One. Forza Horizon 3 has my vote as Game of the Year and if not that, easily the best title on the Xbox One by far.
Providing a deep, fun and addictive gameplay experience, Forza Horizon 3 is one of the best racing games of the generation.
Forza Horizon 3 is an invigorating open-world racer, although it may be a little too familiar to anyone who’s been down this road before.
Forza Horizon 3 is a compelling, all-round excellent racer that should appeal to both hardcore fans and first time players.
Horizon 3 is the best open world racer in years
Forza Horizon 3 is the best in the series yet. It features some amazing parts of Australia, amazing Australian cars and fully embraces our country, car culture and just the general “Aussiness” or our country. Dynamic weather, gorgeous lighting in both day and night help highlight the absolutely stunning Australian setting we’re in, and we still don’t know what they plan on doing as far as expansive DLC is concerned -- here’s hoping they somehow join Melbourne and Sydney together in a new map to offer up more urban playspaces, or just gives us an entire Tassie to explore.
Forza Horizon 3 is not just a racing game but it’s an experience and Playground Games have for now delivered the perfect car game for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC’s. It’s graphically amazing, boasts perfect in-game mechanics and overall, the single-player and multiplayer components work on all levels! Yes, it’s pretty much perfect with a great open-world illusion set in beautiful Australia and the only thing is missing, is that smell of rubber!
The Forza Horizon series has long been the best arcade racer of the modern era, and this third iteration keeps that streak alive.
Forza Horizon seems to get bigger and better with each new entry to the series, and Forza Horizon 3 is by far the biggest festival yet. It's hard to imagine where developer Playground Games will go if they are given the green light for Forza Horizon 4. But there's little need to worry about that, because we have been blessed right now with the must-have racing game of the current generation, so fun and addicting that it just begs you to take on one more event or cruise through one more gorgeous slice of Australia.
Gorgeous, huge, and extremely customizable. This is truly 'your' Horizon Festival
Forza Horizon 3 truly tries its best to be all you could possibly want from an open world racing game and has easily surpassed its predecessors in almost every way. In the 10 years since Test Drive Unlimited changed the racing genre for the better, I finally feel like I've played its spiritual successor, and it was certainly worth the wait.
Forza Horizon 3 pulls out all the stops to provide one of most fluid and enjoyable racing experiences out there. A must have for casual car fans and hardcore gearheads alike, Forza Horizon 3 may even surpass the mainline series in terms of fun with this effort.
Forza Horizon 3 is everything an open-world racer should be, and so much more.
An epic and gorgeous drive through Oz scenery, and the best driving game this year.
Forza Horizon 3 is a spectacular looking game, it plays great, and is fun. But I didn't click with it, why's that?
