It's a Final Fantasy straight out of the 90s and deserves the attention of every fan of the old-school games. World of Final Fantasy isn't a grand epic adventure, and its main narrative is probably a little too convoluted, but it uses its franchise's history to wonderful effect, blending iconic characters, a simple turn-based battle system, and a monster capturing mechanic that is sure to appeal to more than just Final Fantasy stalwarts to create a genuinely hilarious and enchanting RPG that might not warrant many replays, but fills a void that has been left abandoned in the series for too long.

If you are a fan of Final Fantasy definitely pick this game up. Just maybe next year sometime. This games biggest disadvantage is that it’s been released only a month before Final Fantasy XV. But if you do play this game you will be treated to a wonderfully adorable and charming RPG with a cast of colourful characters, an immersive battle system, beautiful worlds and a soundtrack that is simply amazing. While the story is cliched and simple it’ll still have you hooked! Maybe we should give Square another chance.

World of Final Fantasy may not look like a modern open-world action RPG. But instead, it brings colorful environments, an enjoyable story, great combat mechanics and, most importantly, nostalgia at its best. This Square Enix game was made for the Final Fantasy fan who loves the series and its iconic characters. It may not have the best narrative and dialogue, but it will give players tons of entertainment on many different levels.

In the end, this makes World of Final Fantasy worth playing for fans of the series. The flaws can be annoying, but in the broader scope of the story, characters, and setting, it doesn’t detract enough to disappoint.

World of Final Fantasy certainly did not scratch any itches for me, but I can't truly lambast it for what it is. I mean look at those faces! In terms of its gameplay and story, while repetitive and not entirely engrossing, there is charm and care put into this world that truer fans than I can appreciate. There's a good game here, but it certainly isn't for everyone.

World of Final Fantasy is definitely a game that any Square Enix fan should pick up, and I would say it’s almost a guaranteed buy if you own a PS Vita. However, as always, I have said just about everything I can about World of Final Fantasy, so let us know down below.

Whether you've played past titles in the franchise or not, World of Final Fantasy is a seriously strong JRPG that any fan of the genre should get a kick out of. Emotional, hilarious and deep, it proves yet again that a good RPG is about more than just thwarting a world-ending menace - it's about the journey and everyone who makes it worthwhile.

For those who haven't yet had the chance to play it, the PC port of World of Final Fantasy might be the perfect occasion to dive in the world of Grymoire. However we must also warn you about the lack of some graphical settings, the absence of 4K Widescreen resolutions and the fixed 30 FPS, even with higher resolutions; if all of this doesn't represent a problem then you can test yourself with this adventure without worries.

One of the first things I noticed about World of Final Fantasy is it exudes copious amounts of cuteness. From the adorable chibi versions of monsters which have been staples of Final Fantasy games for decades to the main two characters in the story everything is just adorable and sweet. Of course, since it’s also a Final Fantasy game it’s also filled with danger and a bad guy trying to do bad things, but also being adorable while doing it. This is our World of Final Fantasy Review.

A fun and even sometimes addictive game at the start, but gets repetitive later on. The visual style is adorable, almost to the point of annoyance but the story balances light moments with some emotional touches. This game is something that long time fans of the franchise will want to give a second look.

World of Final Fantasy is a fun spin-off RPG for both newcomers to and veterans of the series, but the story doesn’t feel as strong or memorable as those of the numbered entries.

Finally, a game that celebrates a storied series like Final Fantasy. They leveraged both their own classic mechanics and characters to elevate a solid core, and then made it even better by mixing in some elements from other genres. Final Fantasy fans will surely get the most out of it, but I have no problem telling anybody that World of Final Fantasy is a good time.

World of Final Fantasy is a strong JRPG, and is a delight for fans of the franchise with cameos and callbacks at every turn. But newcomers may find it hard to get stuck in with the story does everything it can to turn you away.

In a fall where the Final Fantasy related news on everyone’s mind is how the ten-year-in-development Final Fantasy XV will turn out, World of Final Fantasy is comfort food for any traditional JRPG fans.

World of Final Fantasy embraces weirdness and silliness to further itself from its more serious counterparts, while simultaneously revisiting the franchise’s classic roots to create something special. As a casual fan of the series who might not have recognised every single reference, it was still an extremely fun standalone entry. The addictive Pokémon-like monster capturing and training, combined with classic turn-based combat systems (which I love compared to real-time combat), was fun and in-depth, and complimented by a refreshingly upbeat and zany narrative which grew on me the more I played.

Supplying great fan service is certainly not an issue with World of Final Fantasy, but instead, its problems are with its throwaway plot and eventually unchallenging combat.

A great introduction to newcomers and a nostalgic trip for veterans, World of Final Fantasy is a beautiful game, whose hilarious characters and deep story more than make up for short and sometimes sloppy world design.

World of Final Fantasy is a love-letter to the entire Final Fantasy franchise and its diehard fans. This is pure uncut Final Fantasy directly injected into your veins. Newcomers to the franchise will find an accessible battle system to work with but a completely convoluted and, frankly, bad story to deal with. The soundtrack is worth sticking around for, though.

If you want to dive into it, there’s plenty of depth when it comes to customising and perfecting your party. That’s one of the reasons why, as much as World of Final Fantasy is a game aimed at Final Fantasy fans, it has enough to appeal to people who’ve never played the series before as well. You could strip away all the Final Fantasy-ness, and you’d still be left with a captivating monster-collecting game with an intriguing story, deep RPG and collecting mechanics, and a robust battle system. This game is a wonderful celebration of all things Final Fantasy that won’t just entice old fans, but will also create a whole generation of new ones as well.
