Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Reviews
A marvel when it comes to its ability to shake you to your core, its clearly a love letter to both those who adored the claustrophobic nightmares of the original games and those introduced to horror with more recent Hollywood attempts like The Conjuring and Insidious. It’s hard to imagine the formula working in their favor in the long run, but if it’s a reason to trust that the series could still be in the right hands with Capcom after all, we’re interested to see how they’ll carry on torch into the future.
Resident Evil 7 is the best horror and I've played in a VERY long time. I'm excited to see where Capcom goes with the series and I hope they maintain this great sense of horror.
Resident Evil 7 truly delivers an experience unlike anything I’ve even been exposed to in the gaming world. It’s fresh, unique, a little bit nostalgic, and downright stressful to play... in a good way. Capcom has taken some seriously impressive strides forward in the franchise and has potentially rescued it from fading into obscurity though this distinct and highly effective new point of view. Resident Evil is back and it will grip your from start to finish until you can’t possibly take anymore.
A definite return to form for the series, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is, to me, the most atmospheric entry in the series and, free from many of the narrative constraints of the early games, manages to forge out an entirely new chapter in the Resident Evil universe whilst still paying homage to classic tropes and even characters.
Resident Evil 7 harkens back to the RE games of yore by dialling back the action in preference for thoughtful and unnerving survival horror
Much has been said about Resident Evil 6 and how it single handedly destroyed the series’ reputation but with Resident Evil 7, Capcom have bought the franchise right back to its roots. Capcom may possibly never top the experience provided by the first four games (and Code Veronica) in the series but they have come really very close with Resident Evil 7 Biohazard.
Resident Evil returns to its horror roots, and is all the better for it in a game that was designed to be played in VR.
Short but oh-so-sweetly sick, Resident Evil 7 rewrites the series formula to nerve-shredding success, with PSVR integration only adding to the immersion.
Capcom found a new, perfect alchemy by incorporating all the classic elements and placing them in a new context, with the player's prospective changing and fitting a new game world built to give horror the maximum effectiveness. Resident Evil 7 has returned to his roots, for real.

A breathtaking return to form
At the end of the day, for all the goofs and missteps, this is a Resident Evil game – and it's the first good one since RE4.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a fantastic entry in the Resident Evil franchise. Despite some gameplay issues, the ambiance and well-written characters and story push you through these problems. We say this is the best entry in the franchise ever since Resident Evil 4. If you’re a fan of survival horror and have been wanting to get into the franchise, RE7 is a must buy. And if you’re a long time fan that is angry with the changes that Capcom has made, we implore you to give this game a chance. You will not be disappointed.
It's fitting that this game follows the series’ 20th anniversary, because it’s basically Capcom’s love letter to their series, and to horror in general. If you’re a fan of Resident Evil or horror movies, you’ll enjoy the game. If you’re a fan of both, as I am, you’ll love it.
While the immersion breaks sometimes in VR, Resident Evil 7 never stops being terrifying and, most importantly, fun. Even outside of VR, this game is 100% worth your time. In VR, however, this is a true horror experience that can't be missed.
Resident Evil 7 is a strong return to the series.

RE7 is a new take on a genre that has more or less died off in the modern age within the AAA publisher space. It embodies a style of game design that we haven't seen from the series since before RE4 changed everything. Resident Evil is back, and I'm already hungry — starved — for more. It's good to be home again.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a game that really struggles to find the new voice that Resident Evil so needs as a franchise. It’s incredibly well designed and executed, and you’re not going to find a game that does VR better than this one.
Resident Evil 7 biohazard grabs the crown of best survival horror back for the series that started the genre. It hearkens back well to the old games in great ways. At times it feels too streamlined for more casual players, but hopefully, this installment will serve as proof that there’s an audience for more games like it. By moving away from the action-oriented gameplay of the last few games, Capcom has brought us one of the best Resident Evil games ever made.
Resident Evil 7 is one of the scariest games released this generation and a return to the form for the series.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a remarkable accomplishment and a truly triumphant return of a storied franchise. Masterfully executed on all fronts, this game will leave a lasting impression on you long after you’re done.
