In the end, Seasons After Fall is another great platformer that places value in puzzles and dexterity over combat. The puzzles don't feel overly difficult, but their execution is done well. The same can be said for the season changes, where it becomes very obvious which season needs to be used, but it feels satisfying anyway. It feels like a game for those just starting out in the genre, but the presentation is so well done that more experienced gamers won't mind giving it a spin. If you have an afternoon to spend on a game, Seasons After Fall will make that time feel worthwhile.

Seasons After Fall is a flawed, yet masterfully executed symphony.

Seasons After Fall is a beautifully crafted adventure title that changes the gameplay mechanics of a traditional platformer with the use of the four seasons. The story is simple, although the ambiguity of it all works in its favour, as the mysteries slowly come to light. While a few flaws creep into the latter part of the adventure, and there is some repetitive exploration, this is a great title for fans of the puzzle-platforming genre looking for another way to pass a few hours.

All in all definitely worth at least one playthrough.

Overall, Seasons After Fall is a gorgeous, quite relaxing combat-free puzzle/platformer on PlayStation 4. While its trophy list is easy, there is no Platinum trophy in sight. It makes sense since this is a beautiful and fun but short experience. After playing the game, I certainly hope the developer decides to revisit the concept either with some DLC content (as was the case for Never Alone, a PS4 indie gem from E-Line Media), or perhaps by giving us a sequel!

A captivating journey with beautiful visuals makes Seasons After Fall a more of a casual game, taking away much of the challenge that platformers can offer and that engage player in that style. However, it is an adventure worth playing.

Seasons After Fall is a gorgeous tale told through artistic visuals and beautifully orchestrated music. It is, simply put, an experience that deserves to be played although it comes at the expense of an oversimplified gameplay.

Seasons after Fall is a lovely looking adventure that has some charm and decent gameplay, but it gets far too bogged down with repetition in the second half and this ultimately leaves an unsatisfying impression.

Seasons After Fall is a great looking and very charming puzzle/platformer with a bit of a Metroidvania thing going on. It might be short, but it's definitely fun from start to finish. It's a relaxing experience that allows you to explore beautiful hand-painted locations that come to life as you change from season to season. The puzzles are fun and never feel overwhelming, which is always a plus for this type of game. If you're looking for a solid puzzle/platformer on PS4, then give Seasons After Fall a try!

This beautiful puzzle-platformer is filled with attention to detail, and with its tight controls and clever puzzles I couldn’t recommend playing this enough.

A charming game with a simple story. It starts slowly and is never challenging, and you'll spend more time backtracking than solving its puzzles. A good choice for those looking to relax with an artistic game.

Seasons After Fall is a wonderful platform adventure that uses the ability to change seasons perfectly, with some cleverly thought-out areas that are small at first, but smartly open up considerably when rotating through Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. With gorgeous visuals, and a wonderful soundtrack, plus powerful voice work, the only thing that holds this back is the aimless wandering that creeps in towards the latter stages, thanks to the lack of a map feature.

At first glance, Seasons After Fall looks like a pleasant and relaxing experience; and it actually is if you decide to just sit back and look at its gorgeous art style and listen to its beautiful music. But when you decide to start playing, you find yourself running back and forth through repetitive levels and puzzles all the time.

Seasons After Fall is an acceptable indie title that is made by a small group of developers. Its scenes are very beautiful like they are drawn by hand. It has good gameplay ideas but it’s not challenging for old-school platformer gamers. However, Seasons After Fall will not disappoint you.

Seasons After Fall is a beautiful game to look at and listen to but it can often be tedious to play due to its insistence on repeated backtracking and general lack of guidance.

This is a very relaxing and visually outstanding game, which most of you, fans of peaceful 2D adventures will immediately fall in love with. Those looking for combat and fast paced combat though, will be left disappointed if going to play this game with that in mind.

Seasons After Fall is a labour of love that is nothing short of an artistic triumph. While it does have control issues, it manages to rise above them to become an enthralling puzzle-platform experience.

I wish I wasn't so down on Seasons After Fall. It's a great looking game, and I really enjoyed being in that world. However, after about twenty minutes, that novelty starts to wear off and I found myself asking "What more is there to this?", to which the answer seems to be "not much". There are definitely worse platformers out there, and I certainly didn't hate my time playing it, but Seasons After Fall could, and should, have been so much more than what it is.
