Linelight Reviews
Linelight is a minimalistic puzzle game that draws you in with its tranquil atmosphere and tests your mettle with ever-increasing challenges.
Those who’ve had any skepticism that visuals meant to accompany minimally-structured gameplay could strive for greatness need only look at Linelight to have their prejudices proved wrong.
This isn’t going to entertain the brainboxes who demand Stephen’s Sausage Witness before they’ll get out of their four-dimensional beds, but for a chilled puzzling time, they don’t get much better than this. It’s really splendid.
Even if you don’t play puzzle games, Linelight is a shining beacon in dark times.
While not offering anything groundbreaking as such, this tranquil, simplistic puzzler is a joyous distraction in a medium that can sometimes pride itself on pomp and circumstance.
Linelight just released, and it is already and underappreciated gem. Smart, sleek, compact and peaceful, Linelight is the best $10 you can spend this week on PC or PlayStation 4. While you can easily make it through Linelight in a sitting or two, it is perfect light fare to combo break massive AAA experience. Through intuitive level design and a steady difficulty ramp, Linelight is able to punch far above its weight class — it’s a great start for fledgling developer My Dog Zorro.
Linelight's simple design philosophy has managed to spawn one of the freshest puzzle experiences to grace the genre in recent years. The minimalism you see hides well the depth that some of the puzzles require, though the timings for some of them can be a tad too precise.
My Dog Zorro have knocked it out of the park with this deceptively simple and deep puzzler, and I can’t wait for what they’ve got in store for us next. It’s easy to overlook title like this with so much amazing AAA-fare going around like NieR: Automata and Horizon: Zero Dawn, but make no mistake: Linelight is not to be missed.
I could see how this could have been a great mobile game to spend a couple minutes on at a time, but not so much as a standalone console game to sit with for extended sessions.
The game is fun. The game is addictive. It provides the basic criteria of what a game should be, and takes us back to a time when all we had were lines and light to develop programmer game.
Aside from its little issues, LineLight, being the very first creation from My Dog Zorro and an puzzle indie game, has done his mission by delivering us a fast-paced gameplay with deep riddles and an enjoyable music. I'd easily recommend this game, even for those who do not enjoy puzzle games that much, which I assure them that this game would be a innovative and enjoyable experience.

Linelight is a very polished and minimalist puzzle game that is highly addictive and extremely fun. There’s a lot of fun to be had with this game, so I definitely recommend that you buy it today on PS4. I had a blast with Linelight, and I can’t wait to see what My Dog Zorro does next!
Linelight doesn't bring anything new to the puzzle genre necessarily but it does just about everything perfectly. It's got great puzzle design that gives you a rewarding feeling when you overcome its obstacles and unlock that next world. It's got such a relaxing soundtrack and visual style that will help relieve you of any stress you might be under.
I absolutely loved Linelight. It’s a highly addictive release that will keep you coming back for more, and once you think you’ve finished the game, you might end up finding some extra content as a reward for your effort. Its simple but strong gameplay mechanic, minimalist but charming look and excellent puzzle design make this one of the best games on the PlayStation 4.
Linelight is one of the best indie puzzlers ever made.
Puzzle action games can and have come in many forms, though I don't think I've ever seen any go to the degree of simplicity seen in Linelight...
Linelight is quite a shining light in the sea of Switch releases this November. If you’re looking for a nice casual puzzler with great music this is an easy one to recommend for all ages. Linelight is like an adult colouring book. Simple in concept but provides some mindfulness that feels both good for the soul and fun to play.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Linelight and think it is a must-play for puzzle game fans. It is relaxing, rewarding and well worth your time.
An early contender for game of the year, Linelight is a minimalist, meditative masterpiece, and an excellent puzzle game that will utterly captivate you . If you're a genre fan in any way, or just like the idea of a chilled-out slice of pure gameplay, give it a look.<iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/1LS05l55j30" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
