Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World is good portable adaptation of home platform game with adventure elements, which is primarily captivating by cute knit art design. Beautiful graphics, low difficulty, lots of secrets and a special section with small cartoons will delight the youngest audience. Older players will probably prefer something more complicated and dynamic.

If you're looking for a challenging Nintendo platformer or you got your fill from the Wii U version, you're better off looking elsewhere. This is a solid game that runs well on the 3DS, but its extras don't really warrant a double dip or a purchase from a player looking for difficulty.

While the graphical cutbacks are disappointing, Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World is an unbelievably cute game with inventive mechanics and levels, and a solid platforming base.

There are a lot of great platformers on the 3DS, and if you’ve already played Woolly World on the Wii U, it may not be worth shelling out another $40 for this lightly updated version. That said, there’s a real charm to the level design, some real challenge in its item hunt, and a whole lot of cuteness to its aesthetic. It’s not a game of the year, but for fans of Yoshi, it’s hard not to recommend this one.

While Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World is a solid platformer, there is really no reason to buy it again if you already played the Wii U version. If not, It’s a fun and joyful experience.

"Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World" takes all the charm and fuzzy feel of the Wii U version and squeezes it in portable form with some new additions. New features such as Poochy Mode and Poochy pups might not be enough to sway owners of the original game to take the plunge. If you're pining for Woolly World action on the go, however, this is one yarn-filled adventure that you would want to spin.

Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World may be lacking in a couple of areas when you compare it to 2015's platforming gem but it more than makes up for these aspects by including a handful of fantastic new additions.

Demand for Wooly World in any of its versions (Wii U or 3DS) to match the greatness of Yoshi's Island or Yoshi's World might seem asking too much, but the thing is that it has the potential to do so. What the game offers right now is enough to please Yoshi's fans at its most, even if the rest of the players won't get their expectations fulfilled. Still Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World is a fun, adorable and enjoyable game, and one of the best in the platform genre that you can find in the 3DS.

Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World is a nice port of the Wii U version, though anyone with the Wii U version might not find enough to warrant picking up this one. The difficulty is easy for veteran gamers but could be challenging for younger players. That doesn't, however, stop it from being a fun and casual game that will remind you of Yoshi's more classic outings.

Poochy and Yoshi’s Wooly World remains a solid platformer and a little added content will make newcomers who experience the game for the first time happy. However, the same problems are prevalent in this port, and while it’s a great experience, does lose some of its luster next to its console counterpart.

Poochy and Yoshi’s Woolly World is a great addition to the 3DS library; it doesn’t reach the heights of Super Mario 3D Land, Donkey Kong Country Returns or the recent Rayman games but its mix of fantastic level variety and unique art design helps form its own identity without a moustachioed plumber.

Poochy and Yoshi's Wooly World is an incredibly fun and solid game as most Nintendo titles are. I love these types of games as they provide a genuine wind-down and don't require a huge amount of mental investment as most open-world games do these days. In my opinion, the levels felt a little less uninspired compared to Kirby's Epic Yarn, but that was due to the fact that Kirby can inhale and take on his enemies attacks which added for an extra gameplay element. Poochy and Yoshi's Wooly World is great for gamers of all ages and there's enough content here to keep you going for a long while.

Fortunately, the most recent Yoshi’s adventure was well adapted to the 3DS, and remember us that this beautiful Woolly World has charming and well designed levels. It’s not the best Yoshi’s game, but definitely it is the most memorable one in years.

Porting and modifying the game for the 3DS made a good platforming game for a handheld device. I don't consider it one of the best, but it has what makes it unique with a slow-paced gameplay, and a special and cute world (especially Poochy's character and actions). The levels' concepts are fun. Some of them are great, but most of them are just OK.
